I cannot state adequately enough how hollow that really sounds. How many people even know about ICP, let alone the fact that they run a wrestling promotion? 20,000 people went to the festival this year. 50,000 copies of their new album were sold without any promotion. they have 2 platinum records and 3 gold ones. their last 7 studio albums and 1 EP they released went top 40 on the Billboard charts, 6 of which broke the top 20, and 2 went to #4. the parody commercial also really had nothing to do with the wrestling aspect of their company and just the music. shhhh.........facts will do nothing to deter the detractors. It's like trying to prove evolution to a creationist, no argument you make can reach their ears as it is so buried within their rectum. That skit blew my mind, though. As many fans as ICP have, I never thought I would see them get brought up in something as mainstream as SNL. And a whole skit as opposed to a punchline on weekend update. I gotta wonder if they're running out of ideas for the season as the infomercial is many months old and it's getting parodied now out of nowhere. Oh well, maybe we can get a Big Money Rustlas trailer parody as well......
