I remember when we rented it we ended up watching it about 5 times over one weekend because we had to keep showing it to someone else that had just showed up at my place. It was awesome.

When I first watched it, I felt the pacing was really slow... and not until the cave moment happened, was I interested in the movie.
Having watched it again this past weekend, I felt a lot better about the movie and thought it was something great... as the pacing didn't feel as slow as it did originally, and everything was actually set up rather nicely.
Great movie, with some insane shots. The look at the end that I posted above is something that is pretty awesome... although it is HILARIOUS how she goes from pristine, Jonas Brother ring wearing no-sex lady to having everyone up in her space in a matter of days.

Ya know, I took my ten year old brother to see Iron Man, they played a trailer for this in a theatre that must have been 40% kids under 13.
The quizzed looks and angry mothers was a sight to see.
Everyone ended up getting two free tickets to a movie of their choice.

Great movie or greatest movie? Thoughts? You had me at GREAT movie, Meat. ;D My only issue with it was, actually, the ending, which kind of {Spoiler}turned the leading lady into a sort of Typhoid Mary or the open road. But in her case, would she be a Vagina Dentata Valerie instead? ;D At any rate, yeah, I thought it was awesome, and a film more horror fans should see.

Saw this by accident, and totally loved it - was at a horror film festival, and was supposed to see P2, but the movie hadn't shown up, so Teeth was a last minute throw on.

I liked the movie but by the end of it, I was kinda underwhelmed. I think the problem was that they tried to cram too much plot and messages in it that nothing really gets equal time. They should've just stuck with the girl and her trying to deal with her "problem" with the other boys at school. My big thing was: {Spoiler}when the mom dies, you honestly don't care because she was only shown once or twice in the entire movie. I know it was a catalyst for her to do what she did to her stepbrother but if they wanted to have that be important, they should've focused on that instead. I think if maybe the movie was a little longer, it could've been fleshed out a bit more, but that runs the risk of the movie getting drawn out and boring. Overall, it's still a very good movie. But having to juggle her problem with an abstinence message as well as her dysfunctional family life as well as hinting to a message about radioactivity and pollution (with shots of the power plant in the background inferring that her problem is the cause of pollution), it's just too much for one movie, and an independent one at that, to handle and some of the stuff just falls by the wayside, only to pop up later and expecting you to care. I just wish the lead actress would get more work. She was very good.

But yeah, never really thought about the pollution as being a caused of her mutations. Good catch.

I loved how it left little pussy-teeth behind (like a shark, LOL) when it attacked that Dr. That was a nice touch. ;D

I was actually really tense during the doctor's scene. I'm not sure why but anything involving va-jay-jays in a horror movie (ie the rape/punishment scene in Cannibal Holocaust and the birthing scenes in Grace) really gets to me. But when she clamped on to the doctor's hand, it actually ended up being funny. Unfortunately, after that point, I couldn't really get into the rest of the movie as it wasn't all that scary or threatening after that. But it did end up having a nice "I Spit On Your Grave"-type revenge-flick feeling to it.

I mean, I thought, just for a split second, that he would have a freakish mutation of his own to counter the teeth. ;D And then they have an epic battle inside the walls of her vagina to find out who truly is the superior gender, in a Lord of the Rings style battle of the ages! That would be awesome.
