You know, I always did like Wendy's, because I found out that they have their grills turned up so hot that they destroy any chance of getting food poisoning.

Looks intimidating and potentially lethal, but I probably would at least attempt to eat that.

For anyone who hasn't had Five Guys, a Wendy's Classic Cheeseburger is basically the same thing except it is so much cheaper.

You know, I always did like Wendy's, because I found out that they have their grills turned up so hot that they destroy any chance of getting food poisoning. Well, that's if they actually turn the grills on. A big reason why I don't go to Wendy's as much is because the one in my hometown was pretty notorious at a time for not even cooking the burgers, despite the fact that it was a few years ago, they moved to a different building and I've moved away since then. By the way, we just had a Five Guys open up here and people are raving about it. I haven't had a chance to go yet, though. Their inclusion on this list is kinda dissuading me but I figure killing myself via fast food is better than killing myself via drugs or booze, and thus is a worthy endeavor.

Looking at this makes me kinda ill,and i'm no healthy eater!I had a Wendy's Grand Slam (4 patty burger) combo once, what a horrible feeling came with finishing that monster. Of those 6 places mentioned in the article,i've only heard of 2.

I love that they used the pics of burgers just as they come to you out of the drive thru window during the lunch rush. Crushed buns, messy condiments placement, and generally unappealing looks contrast nicely with the doctored pics on the menu board and commercials. Also, where in the hell is Hardee's Monster Burger on this list? I seem to recall that beast at one time topped 2000 calories. What about the Windows 7 Whopper? I can't wait to see the stats on that. Only available in Japan, it seems. But then again, Japan is the world wide leader in "WTF???"

I just hate it when they bust on burgers for having alot of calories when they are supposed to be part of a meal. Yeah, maybe the fries and soft drink tack on a bit, but 700 calories for one meal is about how much a meal should be, especially your dinner. Do you seriously mean to tell me people snack on a Wendy's Double with Cheese? Well, it's not really just calories... it's the lack of much any nutritional value in them. Yeah, the beef has protein but that's about it as far as "things that benefit your body" go, and fries really have no redeeming health quality. And yeah, they rail on it, but at the same time a lot of people don't actually know how many calories they have. Having worked at Wendy's I can tell you that people didn't usually order a burger and that's it for the day.

That thing looks like it should be served at the Heart Attack Grill.
Wondering: Did our mod friend Deadpool ever end up going there and taking the challenge?

Where I used to live had a local chain of burger/pizza/kebab houses, and they did a 'belly buster'.
It was 2 halfpounders with cheese, two fried eggs, with bacon and mushrooms thrown into a bun.
I don't know of a single person who tried that and didn't see it again at some point later that evening.

I occasionally have a cheeseburger or double cheeseburger. The trick is to space it out and not eat stuff like that all the time (once a month is best).

I don't see the big deal about calories. I hear all the time that the less calories you eat the longer you live but that is just plain incorrect in most cases. Working out moderately and getting all vitamins through regular food is the key. If you eat a lot of calories but are also able to burn it off through one workout you are fine. And I don't mean just weight lifting to build up the protein you eat. Cardio is the key. If you have to choose any type of workout cardio is the ultimate thing you must have because that is what fights off the cholesterol buildup.
Also usually if you only eat healthy stuff and nothing bad statistics have shown that in most cases it will only expand your life by about a year to three. Of course that is disputable because there is no way to tell if that is really what expands it or not.
