Alot of people rail on Spiderman 3 claiming how poor a movie it was. (IMO i Enjoyed in much more than 2) But i dont hear this one getting as much talk as it. To me compared to others it kinda sucked- the action didnt seem as seat grabbing or exciting a X2 Points-Alot of characters were under used- Come on we got the Juggernaut, the guy got cheers just from having his name mentioned- what does he do? run through walls and hit into 0ne and then disappears. Other Xmen couldve been put thru some great battles(Beast, Collossus etc)but got used to punch extras (watch it and youll see what i mean)
Angel - what did he really do?? Fly away from a lab, and catch his dad in mid air- Waste of money putting him in
Cyclops- another waste of money- they actually paid him to be in this?? How much?? $5
Jean grey became the Phoenix so she could stand like a mannequin and crumble things and what did she do to Cyclops??? She a vampire now???
Anyone share these thoughts??

Here we go again. I'm one of the few people who like this movie despite it's flaws. I'll just leave it at that.
Let the hate begin.

No there's just been a lot of negative things said about this movie in the past. A lot. And I used to defend it any chance I got. I decided it's not worth it and to not get hung up on it. No one around here cares what I think anyways.

I didn't think it was as bad as what everybody made it out to be, it had it's moments. I don't think Juggy spewing a catch phrase wrecked the whole flick like some people claim. If anything it simply didn't measure up to the first two and it's a good place to leave the franchise for a while before getting back into it, although they really should go back to the drawing board before more clusterbamfs happen like the last half hour.

X3 sucks, though I won't blame Brett Ratner believe it or not.
He was the jobber who came in and agreed to Fox's script, that insane production time limit and even more ridiculously short post-production schedule.

You're right, you can't really blame Ratner for that. What I think you can blame him for is not even acting like he GAVE two craps about the film he was making. I mean, when your director gives an interview to MAXIM magazine where Maxim is actually trying to ask him questions about the movie, and all the dude can do is yap about how much hot, sexy young ass he's gonna tap thanks to all the extras in the movie (one of whom he was on his way to "tap" at the time of the interview), and how damn hot Anna Paquin and Ellen Page are....yeah. THAT I can blame him for. Had ANY other director been brought on, their main concern would have been how to salvage the situation and how to make as GOOD of a movie for the fans as they could. Not Brett Ratner. His main concern was sneaking into Ellen Page's trailer and stealing her panties, apparently. Ratner is second only to Polanski in terms of sheer Pedobear creepiness.

rorschach, you know what back in 2005 the other director was "considered" by Fox after Vaughn quit? That dude who shot that pretty awful Behind Enemy Lines. Not exactly inspiring choices, so they went with the guy who had a hit or two before. Ratner is...well, there is a reason (or two) why nobody respects him. But when some Hollywood maxim called him the biggest hack in town (#2 was Michael Bay), I thought that was wrong. I mean Ratner did something Bay never has been able to do despite a near $1 billion total career budget. Make a good movie. Was it because of Ratner? Why no, but that's besides the point. I wonder how stupid a Bay X3 would have been.

We have a thread about this like every few weeks. The general nonsenses is that it sucks.
Which it does.
Hard.

I liked it at the time. Haven't seen it since it was in cinemas, and every time it comes up in conversation I try to defend it, but every time I always find something else to pick upon. I'm sure I'd still enjoy it if I watched it for what it was.

X3 gets too much hate. I haven't watched X1 or X2 in a long time because they're so stuffy. X3 is a (rather) rough-around-the-edges version of the 90s cartoon, hence why I like it, even with its flaws, more than X2, the most acclaimed flick of the X-franchise (which has about 2 good action scenes).

The whole time all this other stuff is going on, Magneto is literally destroying the Earth a la 2012, except it's shot in such a way that you really cannot TELL what the hell is happening. Oh, and Megan Fox is the White Queen, and we get lots of cheesecake shots of her outrunning rubble in that little white outfit boobs bouncing around like she's on the set of Baywatch. THAT would have been Bay's X3. ;D

I like it, very much. It's not a great movie, but then I don't think the first two are either. But I still like both of them too.
My main gripe with it, which applies to all three films, is King Wolverine. I've never really been fussed on Wolverine at all but they should have just done a Wolverine movie if they wanted to give him so much screen time and focus of the movie (which they ended up doing).
I don't like that many of the characters are under-developed but for the most part it doesn't annoy me too much, I'm just glad they're there. I do always find it odd that Angel appears at the beginning then disappears until the end.

I have yet to make it through X2. I think by this point I've given up that an Xmen movie is going to be anything but "Here's Wolverine and a bunch of other guys". I for one just really, really, like the Bridge scene so that ends up making up for the rest of the bs that is X3.
But my major complaint is FINALLY humans learned "Hey, this Magneto guy can control metal" and actually surprise Magneto by replacing all weapons with plastic weapons. So what does the lazy as all hell writer do? Lets just make a mutant who can destroy all the plastic weapons. It would have been so much better if Magneto would have had to figure out a different way.

I thought it was okay. Weakest of the franchise. Didn't like how they turned Colossus from steel to chrome. Liked even less how Wolverine was so prominent.

I still enjoyed it even though it wasn't a patch on the first 2. And I also have to say, Kelsey Grammer is so absolutely spot on as Beast.

I thought it was just downright awful.
I think it's one of the worst Comic movies I've ever seen (Behind the Fantastic Four movies)

I've written huge posts in the past about why this movie is so bad, and why it's a slap in the face to X-Men fans. This time I'll just make a short list of the pros and cons.
Pros:
Kelsey Grammer as Beast
Cons:
Everything else.
