I was watching G4 a few years ago and there was a commercial for a video game design class and the actors did that. They had PS2 controllers, one guy was turning both analogs and the other guy was just pressing random buttons. I wonder if there are any two player games that require that? They were tightening up the graphics. threepanelsoul.com/view.php?date=2008-06-04

I especially hate when they zoom in on a blurry or zoomed out picture, video camera, or any other type of image and instantly enhance it so it's crystal clear.

I can forgive a lot of this, because hey, it's a TV show and they can't waste 30 minutes rendering up a 3D image or whatever.
What DOES irritate the ever-loving piss out of me, though, is the fact that it's almost 2010, and every computer on TV and in the movies still sounds like a 1985 Macintosh when you click the mouse button. THEY DON'T SOUND LIKE THAT ANYMORE. HOW f***ING HARD IS IT TO RECORD A NEW SOUND BITE?!

You mean I can't hack into the Pentagon in 30 seconds with my Netbook?!?!?! Sure you can. Just keep pressing random buttons and soon you'll be nuking Pizza Hut because you're order is late.

Not sure if this counts, but I think Mythbusters has a sponsorship deal with Dell. They obviously use Apple laptops and have to tape an X over the Apple Logo. During some of their commercials its obvious that they use a blue screen on the laptop and superimpose movies/images on the screen.
