It seems I'll be making a flying run over the hill to Cheyenne tomorrow (45 miles or so) to do my shopping. I've got a list made up of what I'm getting people, and hoping to not break the bank, but yeah. I've not started yet.
I'm pulling down a whopping $14,000 before taxes this year. Makes it a bit tough, particularly when I'm rather interested in how I'll be for rent after the new year. Heh. Should be fun.
Anyone else?

I did most of mine today. I just have 1 more gift to go before I'm completely finished, and I'll probably do it tomorrow morning.

I only had to buy for 4 people, and was able to get them gifts I'm sure they'll like all by using the money I got from selling back my books for the semester.

Ive finished all mine, yay! However, I work 2 retail jobs, and am working a total of 43.5 hours between the 21st - 26th. I am really not looking forward to the angry people who leave their shopping til the last minute, and somehow feel it's my fault if we sell out of something

I had to pay my bills with my last check so I haven't done anything yet. I'll probably do it tomorrow after I get out of my night class. Fortunately, I'm only buying gifts for my son, my parents and myself.

I actually got ALL of mine done tonight via Amazon. I got on there to look up my dad's gift (the Clapton Winwood MSG CD), and started browsing. Three hours later, and it's all done, with free shipping to my hometown. I know I'll be wrapping everyone's gifts on Christmas Eve (estimated shipping date was the 22nd with arrival on or before the 24th), but I'm okay with that. It beats the hell out of running all over town or having to drive 45 miles to the nearest mall/Ross/what have you.
I dread going "shopping." I've decided that online is the way to go. Also was about $45 less than I'd budgeted for, so now I've got a little extra money for stuff like, oh, I dunno, groceries and what not.
Speaking of groceries, I've got a fridge full of food that I need to get the perishables out of before I leave in a week. Heh. Guess I'm gonna get fat these next few days.

I'm usually done by now, but I haven't gotten anyone anything yet. I always ask people what they want, but no one has even replied this year. Hell, I haven't even sent out my Christmas cards yet.

I'm not going to start until the week of. I've got to decorate my cube at work for the office not-party (we took TARP money, so no official party this year), and get a tree up between now and Saturday. I'm going with a Festivus motif at work this year. My ex-wife gets my son the week of Christmas this year, so I'll have free time in the evenings.

Last year here at the University, the TV part had a pretty nice little party with an open bar and a GREAT prime rib/halibut meal, but since we've cut all extraneous spending (the President of the University laid down the law on discretionary spending in July at the beginning of the fiscal year), so no go on that this year. They had a pot-luck office party, but I skipped that because standing around and schmoozing and what not isn't my gig.

I have no money and no job so I can't really do anything. This. Most of my family is either dead, lives out of town, or thinks they are better than me. So that just leaves my parents. Then we usually do not get each other gifts so that pretty much means I do not have to worry about Christmas shopping.

The rest, not so much. we are all adults now anyways so it's our decision. I would have done something if I had a job though.

I got some of mine today.
Of course, in our household everyone always receives a gift of a somewhat large sum of money, so the Christmas shopping is technically never done by Christmas.
