You Crapheads are gonna settle a debate I've been having. That's right I'm giving you people some insight into my life and its nuances.
The question: Was Martin Lawrence ever a decent comic?

His stand-up is decent, and I still love his sitcom (Tichina Arnold FTW), so I'll say he's funny. His choice of movie roles, however, tend to stink.

Not funny. Never was funny. Probably never will BE funny.
Few movies have driven me to anger. National Security was one. I think Steve Zahn is great actor and is hilarious in just about everything he does. I still turned it off halfway through. I couldn't take it. Martin Lawrence made me hate a Steve Zahn movie. That takes (a substantial lack of) talent.

Martin sitcom is tha GOAT. Season 3, 4, and 5 are just downright hilarious. But, I think I know how this poll will go. Martin brand of humor isn't for everyone.

I didn't think he was bad in Blue Streak. His sitcom was good and he's a decent stand-up

The part about this movie that pissed me off the most was the fact that the movie was almost entirely about Steve Zahn, and yet when the DVD came out, the only person on the cover was Martin. What a freakin ego. But, yeah, he was funny in his early days, but started sucking not long after.

I never really got Martin Lawrence. I always wondered, if I wanted to see someone poorly immitate Eddie Murphy with the additionof over the topfacial expressions, why woudln't I just watch mid to late 80's Eddie Murphy?

His sitcom on Fox was more often than not hilarious. It's the best thing he's ever done
He's good in movies, but I don't care for his Stand up

I seriously doubt Lawrence was the one who designed the DVD cover The studio probably realized he was a bigger draw than Steve Zahn was

When I was young I thought he was hilarious and loved his show. Looking back now I wonder what the hell I was thinking.
