So I just got one of those Blockbuster game passes that allows you free reign of their games one at a time for a month and I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I'd like some suggestions on some games I should be checking out for X-box 360.
Now, I would say I'm a level above "casual gamer" as I play often, but not really a variety of games. I tend to stick pretty close to Smackdown vs Raw, GTA Rockband and sports games.
So far I've rented Gears of War 2 and though I can appreciate how good the game is, I just couldn't get into it... it was a bit too repetitive for my tastes. I like shooters, but I like a good story line and a variety of things to do like the GTA series or Modern Warfare.
Then I tried Left for Dead (LFD 2 was out) and another trip down repetitive lane. I admit I only gave this one about 15 minutes before I couldn't take anymore zombie killing but unless I chose the wrong game on the selection screen, that's all you do, walk around killing zombies.
The last game I REALLY enjoyed playing all the way through (besides the obvious GTA Ballad for Gay Tony and LATD) was Arkham Assylum, thus I've been contemplating picking up Spiderman 3 but just haven't been able to pull the trigger.
So can anyone suggest some games I might enjoy based on what I've just provided?

You sound like the same sorta gamer as me. I'd highly recommend Fallout 3, if you've not played it. An amazing story, loads to do, and a crapload of fun. And um...Fable 2. I've not actually played that but I enjoyed the first one, so...*shrug*
But mostly Fallout 3. I wasn't sure I'd like it, but I didn't stop playing it for weeks and weeks.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've had it in my hand a couple times, but never went through with it. I have trouble committing to trying new things in fear of being disappointed and wasting my money... it's the main reason why I got the game pass, so I can return a game for something different the next day without spending another 10 bucks if I don't like it. Remember when you could rent a game for like 2 bucks? *sigh* memories.

I'll tell you this: Spider-Man 3 The Game is TERRIBLE.
If you want a good Spider-Man game for 360, get Web of Shadows.

When you are done with fallout, you may want to consider Oblivion. It's the same basic mechanics except with Swords & magic. The scenery is beautiful for a almost 4 year old game & I personally sometimes ride my horse to places rather than teleport just to admire it.

Sounds like Fallout 3 will be my next rental... thanks guys!
I actually have Oblivion at the house... an old ex bf of my sister brought it over once and was trying to sell me on it... never did try it or bother to give it back so I may pull it out over my christmas break.
