They filmed the fans in Buffalo for the intro, so yeah they'll be in it.

They used Nickelback for their new theme? Man, I didn't think it could get worse than Papa Roach.

Nothing says family-friendly PG entertainment like an intro song that talks exclusively about going on a massive drinking binge and causing as much drunken havoc as possible.

I want to know what people's problem is with either Nickelback or Papa Roach. Personally love To Be Loved, and while I haven't heard the new one what I have heard of Nickelback's stuff is usually okay if not good.

I will actually missed "To Be Loved" by Papa Roach. Granted, it made little sense to be used on a wrestling show, but it was a decent track.
I haven't listened to the Nickelback song, but I only enjoy a few songs that are on their CDs, but aren't intended for radio usage. This is my favorite track, all-time:
I find it amusing that in the time it took RAW to change songs, SmackDown has gone from Drowning Pool to some other guys (and ECW also went from Drowning Pool's "Bodies" to Marilyn Manson to Saliva's "Don't Question My Heart"). Does anyone know who does the current track on SmackDown?

I don't get the Nickelback hate. They're half-decent. The current Raw theme was ok at first but it's really started to annoy me as its played a thousand times during Raw and is quite an awful song. This new song is a welcome change.

Would it kill WWE to use an instrumental or some really fast power metal instead of nu-metal, which has to be the most played out genre in music?

They shouldn't use any popular music as the theme song for the show. It works in video packages, but as the intro music it's too polarizing. People might hear shitty Papa Roach or Nickelback and go "WTF is this?" and turn the channel. They need to have someone compose a theme modeled after the music used for football games on CBS and Fox, or basketball on NBC back in the day. Music like that is more neutral and can still build anticipation, plus for wrestling it would give it a legit sports feel (which would be shot to hell within 2 minutes of the broadcast, of course). Overall, I think using heavy metal or punk for the shows is just kind of dumb, those aren't even particularly popular genres at he moment anyway.
All that being said, bring back Thorn In Your Eye, that song was badass.

This new song is a welcome change. Agreed. It's like whenever they're name is mentioned, people act like It's the end of the freakin world. I don't think they're that bad. Sure they're not the best band ever, but they're tolerable. and the song being used is one of the better ones.
