Its a crime that does not break any laws... And what will be said when Boise and TCU loose to Iowa and Flordia? They were robbed? BCS Bias? What's going to be said when TCU or Boise beat Iowa, and Cincinnati beats Tebow in his final game? They were "disappointed" in their opponents and "let down"? Its over a month away, people can not see the future. I do not know, and you do not know. But by saying something is a crime just because it does not fit your personal beliefs on what should happen in an organization you have no say over is kinda silly.

Is it just me or did Texas have a weak non-conference schedule? Louisana-Monroe, UTEP, Wyoming, UCF... Florida did too. Charleston Southern, Troy, FIU... (I'm not counting FSU, because they don't have any control over whether or not they play them. )
At least Alabama had the guts to play VA Tech on the first game of the season.
Regardless though, it's tough to win every game on a schedule no matter which teams it consists of.Yes. Most big schools are too cowardly to schedule worthy OOC games. USC seems to be an exception. Oklahoma is a big school that schedules tough out of conference games. The past 2 seasons their out of conference schedule has featured TCU, BYU, and Miami. Next year the Sooners have Florida State on the OOC schedule.

What's going to be said when TCU or Boise beat Iowa, and Cincinnati beats Tebow in his final game? I'm sure someone will have a brilliant excuse. They were "disappointed" in their opponents and "let down"? Didn't eat enough in the pre-game meal? Got some bad news on draft status and just didn't give a damn anymore? Iowa will have no excuse. They suffered their disappointment, had plenty of time to bounce back, this isn't something they're used to. If Boise beats them its legit. Of course by all accounts Boise is actually going to be the Vegas favorite in that game, so it might be IOWA with something to prove. Florida however...if they lose you can look no further than the letdown factor. Emotion is such a huge factor in college football. It can't be overlooked. One team is incredibly jacked to be there, and is playing the biggest game in the history of the program. The other team is letdown about being there, and has the everything to lose and nothing to gain factor going. It's not a matter of not trying. It's a matter of just not being able to match the intensity of the opponent. Its why we see so many upsets, or games that are far closer than they should be, in rivalry games.

Here's my problem with this. Maybe you're right, maybe you're not, but we have no way of KNOWING that. But going by this, there's absolutely no way for teams like TCU or Boise to impress you enough to give them credit. If they go to this game and beat Florida shall we say, well Florida was only let down and had this been more important they would have crushed. And if TCU comes in to that game and loses, be it by a FG or 20 points, then you get to say you knew they were over hyped and they just proved it. So how do they win here? Boise and TCU beat teams like Oregon and Clemson in the regular season, but they're still not good enough. They schedule good teams, win, and still don't get credit. Boise has put a great number of players in the NFL, but it's still not enough. Just an honest question, what can they do to impress you on of these years? Not being a smart ass, just legitimately curious.

Dude I don't know what you're talking about. I stated I didn't think it would be right for TCU and Boise to be stuck playing one another in one of these BCS games. You're the one who took one word out of my statement and tried to turn it on me like this was some life and death part of my life. You're the one who replied with a passive aggressive "so what happens when they lose? Huh? Huh?" first, and you're the one who came at me with a truck full of attitude. Seriously, take a step back and chill out. Please.

As to the emotion argument, if Florida cannot get up for a major bowl game, then guess what? You need a playoff because the current system doesn't do what the backers continually claim, and that is put more teams in more big games with something to play for. If teams don't even care about a major bowl anymore, than the system needs to change. Plain and simple. You can't keep it around, then claim every time a high ranked team loses that they "weren't up" for it.

Not being a smart ass, just legitimately curious. I want them to get their shot. A real shot. I really, really do. I wanted Utah in the title game in '08. I wanted Boise State in there in '06. I even wanted HAWAII to get a shot. Those years they earned it. Go to THAT game and win, and they'll prove it to me. They don't get their shot, and THAT is the crime. I agree with you 110%. I know human nature though. There is no way Florida will be able to match the intensity of their opponent in the bowl game. If they win it will be because they are just so much better than the opponent that it doesn't matter. Again, Iowa won't have that excuse. They've never won a BCS bowl, and they've had plenty of time to get over their disappointment. In reality the Fiesta Bowl is probably a bigger deal to them than it is to Boise State.

Depending on who the ACC team is, those could all three be awesome games.

Correction on the bad information. Jon Miller of Hawkeye Nation is reporting it is the Orange Bowl www.hawkeyenation.com/forum/football/3784-its-orange.htmlHe schedules bowl charters, and partners with the University of Iowa to do so. This is as Rock Solid as you're going to get. That means TCU vs. Boise State in the Fiesta is a go. I'm surprised to say the least.
