Ugh a whole Jane's Addiction album? Wasn't it enough we had... 'COMING DOWN THE MOONTIN, BLAH...BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH' Kotaku and Harmonix both have boards dedicated to this. I can't tell which had more apathetic people, this or the Country pack. Well I'll give Country music a pass because it's a genre that people do play in bands so hey ho but Jane's Addiction? A whole album? I think instead of doing whole albums for these type of bands they should just throw their money at getting the big songs that people will always wanna play with friends, like say... Bohemian Rhapsody Stairway To Heaven Layla Free Bird Whole Lotta Love November Rain/Welcome To The Jungle (basically older GNR) Since You've Been Gone Two Tickets To Paradise Any Pantera song especially Walk Burning For You Any Def Leppard song. Hell I know a lot of people hate them but it would make a lot of people happy so why not some Slipknot or Korn. Heck do a Nu-Metal pack with Limp Bizkit and it would sell for Nostalgia. So yea, hundreds of classics songs from massive bands and we get...Jane's Addiction...a whole album.

No guitar in the MJ version though.

Wouldn't matter. Rock Band is a "music simulator" anyway.
Maybe if those rumors of a keyboard peripheral are true...

Wasn't that version of Smooth Criminal on the WWF Tough Enough soundtrack? I'd personally rather have MJ too but this cover wasn't too bad IMO.

You're right, it wouldn't matter...if it was guitar hero, they're more known for pulling those sorts of tricks. I hate it when it happens though, totally ruins whatever illusion of a band you try to create with plastic peripherals, when you start playing keyboard with a guitar.

While I agree in theory, for Smooth Criminal, just once, I'd be willing to overlook it. But otherwise I'd agree with you wholeheartedly.

Also, forgot to add the other songs announced for Rock Band. Basically, these tracks are on Rock Band Unplugged for PSP, and Harmonix has stated that "a while after RB:U, these songs will show up on Rock Band/RB2" They are: 3 Doors Down - Kryptonite www.youtube.com/watch?v=jERdZt54S1gAFI - Miss Murder www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjnif8Fd0dIAlice in Chains - Would? www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3FnQMSD4ZgAudioslave - Gasoline www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6_C4rV7x-YBlack Tide - Show Me The Way www.youtube.com/watch?v=nl_hikrl8xIBlink 182 - What's My Age Again? www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCjbphQH2iE[/url}Freezepop - Less Talk More Rokk www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVIhIc_DfaMJackson 5 - ABC www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOXG8wtxx_wTenacious D - Rock Your Socks www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfoYrvIL-FwAnvil Track Pack: 666 www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqPGOdVFRHIMetal on Metal www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGV3kec5yPwThumb Hang (couldn't find a video) Thoughts: Jackson 5, AiC, and Blink 182 are must downloads (What's My Age Again is the only good Blink song, besides Dammit; I bought that horrible album JUST for that song!) Certainly won't get the Anvil pack, AFI (come on, really?!?), Freezepop, Black Tide, or Tenacious D. Kryptonite and Gasoline are under "maybe if I am in the mood and have points to blow".

I'll probably get the Alice in Chains, AFI (yay, I get to practice my Davey Havok vocals again!) and Freezepop (how is it even possible to not like Freezepop? ) songs. The Jacksons/Jackson 5 are great and all, but I have no interest whatsoever in singing "ABC" (give me one of their late 70s or early 80s songs and I'll be happy)... and the less said about 3 Doors Down, Audioslave and Blink182 the better.

I wonder how holding a PSP can replicate a full band experience.

I wonder how holding a PSP can replicate a full band experience. It doesn't try to. The PSP version of Rock Band plays more like the older Harmonix titles (FreQuency and Amplitude).

Definitely want the Social Distortion and Disturbed songs. The others I don't really care about, but they might be fun.

Whoa whoa whoa K to the strick, Elvis Costello's Radio Radio is an awesome track to be including in Rock Band and I will be trying to get that soon. Now I enjoy me some Social Distortion as much as the next person, but don't be dissing the other Elvis....

I concur, good sir. The moment the track list for Rock Band 2 came out and I saw "Pump It Up" on there, I hoped this would mean more Costello in the form of DLC. I'm so glad Radio Radio is coming out, as that was the song that made me want to listen to more of Elvis Costello. I can not wait to buy and play this track!
