My husband took me to see Basterds on our second anniversary, then told me he was leaving. Then asked me to pay him back for the movie.
I'm going with Zombieland and Star Trek.

Hey where's The Hurt Locker? Most people didn't see it in its theatrical release. Hopefully being nommed will give it publicity.

Up. Isn't even a contest.
Although This is It is fantastic too, that's a documentary, not a movie. Ergo, Up wins.

Hey where's The Hurt Locker? Agreed. Hurt Locker was my best film of 2009. But since that wasn't on there, I'll give it to Up In The Air.

The Hangover for me. As I said before District 9 is better but The Hangover is my favourite film of this year, a truly great cinematic experience.

Transformers 2
Awesome, near-perfect film. Never before has a movie's theatrical gross been so well deserved.

Inglourious Basterds, though Zombieland came a close second.
I didn't see most of these and the only movie I'm really mad at having missed in the theater is Drag Me To Hell.

Transformers 2 Awesome, near-perfect film. Never before has a movie's theatrical gross been so well deserved. Are you being sarcastic? I really can't get a read on your post and am left befuddled...... For me, toss up between Up, Star Trek and Zombieland. I can't pick one because they're such different films and I enjoyed all of them.

And it boggles my mind that anyone could be confused by such a statement.

I'm stuck between several. There were a lot of films I enjoyed in 09.

Where is Taken? I loved that movie and i'm a little surprised it's not on the list considering how shockingly well it did at the box office.

I vote for other. Taken.
I know it came out in 2008 in Europe, but it didn't come out in America until January 2009 so I think it counts.
