Who did you side with during their WWF feud? Who did you cheer for during their heated rivalry? I'm talking about while the feud was actually happening, not in retrospect.
I personally liked Bret more than Shawn.

I liked both very much, but Bret gets my vote due to me being a mark for the sharpshooter.

I was with Shawn because I just thought he was cooler.
Now I'm still with Shawn by grew to really like Bret's Anti American character when I got older.

Could never stand Bret Hart, no one he ever feuded with made me give two shits about him no matter how I liked the other person (IE HBK, Austin)

Was in Shawn's corner, and always have been. That being said, aside from his egotistical moments where he looks like a total tool, I don't hate Bret. I'm ecstatic he's coming in for something, and it's really got me interested.

Too bad I started watching in 1998. Same. Though I get the hunch I would of rooted on Shawn and not Bret. Especially at the age I was at then.

HBK. I liked Bret in the Hart Foundation, but I got sick of him as a main eventer pretty quickly. I don't blame Vince for the screwjob either, he did what was best for the company.

Bret.
Folks know where I stand on HBK, so I'd rather not state it any further.

Bret Hart nearly the whole time. I never cared for Shawn. I thought he was too self absorbed and...like Bret said......something about him that makes him easy to dislike.
I thought Bret was getting a bit cranky towards the end but mostly I cared for his style, character, and wrestling ability.

H-B-K All The Way! Mainly because he was THE GUY in the company, when I started watching regulary as a kid, thought he was the epitome of cool. I always thought Bret was a crybaby

I started watching 'for real' in late 1998, but since Bret Hart was the first guy I liked in wrestling...him.
