What I find amusing is that WWE has so many international wrestlers, but you notice that the guys with all the titles for the vast majority are American Born, Sheamus and Christian are the lone exceptions currently.
But given the state of pro wrestling right now, that is still a pretty strong percentage over the last decade.
But it is more interesting to see that many of the champs and top guys are Irish or Scottish Ethnicity either in Kayfaybe or real life
WWE = Sheamus, Ireland Born, (Legit Irish) WHC= Undertaker, American (Texas) Real Last name is Calloway (Irish Origin) Former IC= John Morrison, American (California) Real Last Name is Hennigan (Irish Origin) Current IC= Drew MacEntyre, Scottish, Real Last Name is Galloway (Legit Scottish)
There are others like Finlay (North Ireland), and some could also argue that John Cena (Mother is Irish) and so on... see the pattern?

I think its great, it is WORLD Wrestling Entertainment after all. Also I consider DH Smith to be a little British since he is Davey Boy's son.
Also isn't Santino from Russia really?

This thread, got me thinking that the WWE, should do some sort of international bowl. or series similar to what TNA did The WWE World Cup USA: Cena Canada: Jericho Japan: Tatsu England: Regal Ireland: Sheamus Scotland: McIntyre Mexico: Rey Puerto Rico: Carlito Italy: Santino Russia: Kozlov Northern Ireland: Finlay Uganda: Kamala 3 clusters of 4, the top 4 points leaders go to a single elimination tourney and John Cena will win a trophy that gets smashed at the end of the tourney

Idea's not too bad, probably way too many matches though with all those participants. It'd take a stretch of shows dedicated only to it. And if you need an immobile monster, why not Khali?

WWE needs to sign one of the good Australian wrestlers (no not Nathan Jones).

Fun factoid: Katie Lea is actually German, and moved to the UK later in life. The more you know.

I think American shows in general are doing the same, there seems to be a lot of British actors cast at the moment and programs like Heroes and Flashforward have had storylines in Japan, India, China and Somalia.
It makes sense that people from all over the world would compete for a world title.
I just wish UK shows would do the same, whenever there's a world or even universe wide threat it's nearly all focused on present day London with the odd mention of America.

If you want an African representative you gotta go with Kofi. With that change I definitly approve of this, even with Cena. I'm picturing this with the Street Fighter 2 select screen. You need at least 2 Americans (ala Guile and Ken), so Orton, Shawn or Trips can be in there too. Ahh, memories.

The WWE World Cup Mexico: Rey But Rey isn't even Kayfabe from Mexico. Certainly there's a Mexican wrestler from Mexico that WWE can use. At this time, I just found out that Abismo Negro died in March.

Isn't Kozlov from Ukraine, btw? Correct, although he could(and has been) be able to claim being "Russian" in a sense because he was born in the Soviet Union, and Russia was of course the dominant entity.

Too me it depends on whether he's from the blue half of Ukraine (East, Pro Russia) or the Orange half (West, Pro EU and Ukraine).
