Could a gimmick that strange have ever been popular in WWE? Just sayin'. Ya know, this has inspired me to think that face or heel, PG or not, Kizarny might've gotten over if he did weird crap like stick people's heads in cotton candy machines and hang out backstage in a maze of mirrors.

-- There is a cable war going on between Fox and Time Warner Cable which has Fox demanding that Time Warner pay one dollar per month per customer in order to continue receiving their family of networks including Fox, FX and MyNetworkTV. Time Warner has refused their proposal and they are threatening to pull all Fox stations off the air this Friday. Hence, Time Warner Cable subscribers would be unable to watch Friday Night SmackDown. Fox has taken out ads in several markets saying that Time Warner is trying to deprive its customers of shows such as House and American Idol. SmackDown is listed in several ads, including a few spots with WWE talent addressing the possible loss of the program. Sorry but I'm with Time Warner on this one. Fox out of the blue says we want 7-8 figures extra per month out of the blue or else? Fox is overplaying it's hand on that one. I read an article somewhere that if Time Warner doesn't renew the contract for 2010 it would hurt both organizations, so News Corp must be pretty confident Time Warner will buckle in order to get an extra 100 or so million every year. Time Warner and News Corp are two of the 5 media conglomerates that own US media so the way I see it I hope Time Warner calls their bluff and it weakens both organizations instead of just weakening Time Warner.

Kizarny was the stupidest gimmick EVER. I feel bad for the guy that saddled with that lame shit, but it was still really, really bad.

For the record, Time Warner Cable is no longer a part of Time Warner. They were spun off from the company earlier this year and thus do not have the same clout for a huge battle with Fox as they did last year at this time when they had problems with Viacom.
Time Warner Cable does have a history of not buckling to the demands of networks and famously dumped Disney and their family of networks (ABC & ESPN) in 2000.

I have no opinion on Kizarny since I only saw some of his vignettes and Battle Royale but of what I read and heard from his interviews, he has a good head for the business. But ya WWE really didn't give him a chance at all.
