This. SmackDown vs. RAW 2010 is a really solid game. They've really improved the series by leaps and bounds this year. If they could just make all submission moves back to submission A and submission B... To build upon your idea.... -Make submissions viable again. The struggle submission idea is a good one, but I LIKED the rapid-tap system. I also admit to using a turbo controller to win in minutes with them. Ergo the problem is that there needs to be some kind of failsafe, possibly a changing button system, where you DO tap buttons, but the button changes while you apply the hold (Kind of like a QTE, but less.....stupid, and give the opponent a seperate QTE to fight out of the hold) -Make ALL the archetypes viable. I don't want to lose a match because I'm not playing the way that the game thinks I should. -Drop the BS DQs, If the targeting system is so bad that I can accidentally attack someone so that I'm DQ'd there's a problem. Either disallow Mixed Tag matches, or the Gender-Based DQs. -Re-evaluate the Ladder Match from top to bottom, I'm not talking about re-inventing the wheel, but If I've hit three finishers on a guy, then thrown him off the ladder, he shouldn't be getting up to take the belt a minute later. -Bring back, but modify the weight system. I don't want to see Rey Mysterio powerbombing Big Show or the like, likewise I don't want to see some 400-500lbs CAW doing moonsaults as ANYTHING but a finisher. - Bring back Patterns - Continue to expand the CAF options, add in back Grapples and submission grapple moves (I want to make the Gas Mask and Rat Trap) - Either do away with Downloadable CAS, or let us edit the CAS but not re-upload them. - Set a "Stat Cap" for online play (No CAS over a certain stat, with the ability before the match to lower (At least for that match) certain stats if you're over) - Story based Season Mode

You know what I would like to see in 2011? Create-a-Stage. You can build your own Raw, Smackdown, ECW, Superstars or PPV arena entrance. It'd be cool as hell to do, and you can create your own PPV's.

I just hope that at some point in the next 8 years, I can have good back and forth matches on one player instead of a bunch of two minute squashes.

I mean, i make a decent kurt Angle & give him the Ankle Lock & he can't even make them tap! Also the DQ's are BS. I got DQ'ed because Kendrick attacked my Valet & she reversed, pushed him off so that counts as DQ'ing me!?

They really need to re-do the Submission system. The Regal Stretch, one of the most painful submissions out there, can't make a guy tap out? HEH!? And for crying out loud, ADD THE REGAL-PLEX!

I'm beginning to think I'm the only one who hates 2009 but likes 2010. I wasn't a big fan of 2009. But I've done almost everything in 2010.

Dammit. THQ only got their head out of their ass and created a decent game because they wanted to impress the WWE in order to retain the license.
I mean, really.
Smackdown 1- Decent enough Smackdown 2- Really fun Smackdown 3- Could have been decent but terribly executed Smackdown 4- Really fun and with a great story mode Here Comes the Pain- Still the best Smackdown game
SD vs RAW- Crap storymode and only half decent. 2006- Suprisingly well done 2007- Sucked 2008- Sucked 2009- An improvement which doesn't say much. 2010- Decent but flawed in execution.

I'm beginning to think I'm the only one who hates 2009 but likes 2010. I hated 2009 with a passion. It's my least favorite and least played Smackdown game ever. After the RTWMs there wasn't anything to do. The level up system made CAW making pointless. Adding insult was removing GM and CAB and giving us CAF and Highlight Reel, both of which I never once used. 2010 is a step in the right direction, but this series has gone backwards before.

Sigh. It's just... how did wrestling games peak with these four? Why can't we get anything even bordering on their greatness? I have to play EWR just to get a fix. What was so amazing about those games were how much they improved with each installment. Look at the leap in quality from 2000 to No Mercy. Imagine they kept that engine alive on the next gen systems? Imagine No Mercy with 6 man tags? Hell in the Cells, Updated graphics, etc? I thought 09 and 10 were really good but the wrestling still seems a bit off. Matches just aren't as fun.

I think that, after much thought, the DOR games were quite good as well. They had a better engiine and I liked the N64 feel of the controls and Move system. I also thought that the Submissioin system was the best in a while (Besides of course the button tapping aspect, but that was more the limitation of the enginne coming to light)
I also LOVED the challenge, I never had a match go shorter than 10-15 minutes unless I either fouled up or spammed specific submissions.
Speaking of moves to add I'd like to see "Six Seconds Magic" in my games again, sooo cheap but it looked like the most painful thing ever.

Well alright, 8 more years of Here Comes The Pain still being the best SmackDown game! Man, I can't even do anything in that game any more. Way to used to the newer controls of 2010. Maybe with some effort, but damn it just feels bad.
