I'm not really with you on that one. Toughing it out and passing out in a submission move is more of a "face" thing (i.e.: catalyst for Austin face turn). You're not supposed to admire Wolfe. Being a courageous tough guy isn't his thing right now. He's a pure heel and a damn good one. The only "heel" one I liked is Raven. Passing out with a smile on his face cause he loves the pain...the sadistic bastard! That would be masochistic, actually. As for Desmond, he does seriously come off as lame. Sure, he's alright in the ring, but I have to wonder if the lame promos are actually part of the point, just to be that much more annoying. How can you insult a man who suggested that he have a spelling contest w/ Scott Steiner ?

I think he's totally going the wrong way with this awful Mr. Mangle pun. He instead should be calling him Mr. Bojangles.

I love the lame puns. He takes the attitude of bad ass cool guy heel but throws in the lame lines which annoys and cuts down on the admiration of the character. Definitely my favorite American non indie wrestler.

As a master of bad puns, and lame jokes, I find it quite funny.
I am enjoying Wolfe though, I had never seen him wrestle before, as the only way I've followed ROH was to read an occasional spoiler or results page. I wonder where he go's after he's done with Angle.

I wonder where he go's after he's done with Angle. he'll start a three month feud with "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Blandiels followed by a couple of squash matches over Unmazing Red, a short program with Homocide and lastly an eight month feud with Samoa Jumbo which ends with Wolfe winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

Definitely my favorite American non indie wrestler. Which is what heels are supposed to do. They don't want the fans to admire them. They want to be HATED. That's my biggest beef with today's fans. Love the heels? What the?

I agree with everyone great saying. My only gripe is I wish Desmond hadn't tapped out to Angle in their first match. They should have had Desmond pass out from the pain while remaining in the hold for many minutes, but all the while refusing to tap out because he is just that much of a tough jerk. Not wanting to give "Mr. Mangled" the satisfaction and all that. A la SCSA v. Bret Hart back at Survivor Series 1996. Desmond could have still claimed he was undefeated (giving him a streak to brag about, and Angle to contend) while still keeping Angle from taking the out right lose (I assume that is why they booked the ending the way they did). That at least is how I would have booked it. I totally disagree, the quick tap out finished the story of the match perfectly. Wolfe was ready for everything Angle threw at him since he knew him so well, but Angle surprised him with that tight triangle choke and Nigel knew when it was locked in that there was no escape and smartly tapped out. Staying the hold and losing consciousness just seems stupid, it's like yeah you're tough but you're an idiot. Wolfe's character is being a mastermind, not John Cena.
