I wouldn't mind seeing Savage show up as a manager or mouthpiece for other wrestlers, but please don't have him wrestle.

All TNA wants out of him is ratings and greater visibility. They're using him. Except... He's not. And they're not. TNA's aired one promo video with Hogan's picture. And Hogan's mentioned TNA on a few random interviews here and there. That's it. Impacts ratings bounced up the week of the announcement, but they've since settled back around the norm. House show attendance is still mediocre (if the show I went to is any indication). And PPV buyrates are likely at the same place they always were. When the hell are they planning to actually get some mileage out of the guy? This is the first time I've ever seen a promotion sign some big name wrestler and do absolutely nothing with him. Hell, at least Jeff Jarrett whacked him in the head with a guitar...it was better than nothing. Maybe there's contractualy obligations here and there or whatever, but the whole thing's just bizarre, now.

They may not know when he's gonna show up, and don't want people to tune in every week expecting Hogan, which they would if you made 1/2 your show about him.

His Australian tour is next weekend, so I would have thought it would be obvious he wouldn't start in TNA before then.

It's not a TNA event and features no TNA talent (other than Hogan), plus TNA is hyping their own OZ tour for early next year.

Because he totally undermined TNA's tour, announcing his just weeks after TNA announced theirs, but with Hogan's tickets going on sale earlier. Both have apparently had poor sales.

No kidding. My point is TNA hasn't said anything about Hogan since announcing him. No hype. No announced date saying "HOGAN WILL BE HERE ON THIS DAY!" Not even a simple "He's coming! Soon!" All they've done is say "TNA HAS SIGNED HULK HOGAN! THE BIGGEST NAME IN PRO WRESTLING!!!" And they followed it up with, "........."

They're doing the reactions by the wrestlers, with some people liking it, others doing the wait and see approach, and others are doing the "don't mess with us" thing, kinda like the reactions here. Since they don't know when he's coming in, or what capacity, they're trying to use the other wrestlers to have suspense in wondering how will Hogan change things.

They DID do a little bit more than nothing. There was an ad they aired one week saying "HOW WILL HOGAN AFFECT TNA???" So they did do that. Still and all, it comes across kinda weak in comparison to the friggin' parade WCW gave him. Not that I'm saying TNA should do that, but it still just seems like they've done the absolute bare minimum.

They've had interviews with Matt Morgan, Hernandez and i think AJ styles talking about what it means for Hogan to be coming to TNA. They've had Eric Young telling Hogan he had no problem with him as long as he stayed out of WE's way.
TNA is doing a decent enough job promoting it given the fact they don't seem to know or want to tell us when Hogan is going to show up.
