The Overdrive, it seems evertime someone who isn't huge or called CM Punk tends to do it in their debut Um, as I recall CM Punk never did the Overdrive in his debut.

I think the powerbomb is overused, I remember when in 1991-92 it meant death for the opponent, especially if Big Van Vader was doing it.

As for an actual grapple, I'd say that freakin' Sunset Flip. One of the worst pins ever, because I'm supposed to believe that someone can hold a guy's shoulders to the mat by holding their THIGHS. The person doing the sunset flip is supposed to put his legs over the guy's arms so he can't lift them, but you hardly ever see that done right. Yeah, they sit there like they just delivered a sit-out powebomb and hold the other guy's thighs. With SUCH PRESSURE that their entire body is held motionless, I guess. It's not even after such a devestating move that they could be knocked out. They're just rolled onto their back. To keep the conversation going, random flip-dippy springboard manuvers seems to be all the rage in the midcard these days, especially among Puerto Ricans and guys billed from Hollywood.

I'm over the rolling Germans. That should only be busted out every once in awhile. Like, against Undertaker or Samoa Joe? Fine. But do Tatanka and Christian need THAT much softening up? Yeah, the rolling Germans do annoy me these days. It takes longer to get their opponent back up than it does to throw the move.

I was thinking this exact thing watching Chris Benoit and Tatanka on SD. I almost expected a nurse to run into the ring and assist Tatanka for the next rollign German.

gotta go with Hot Tag here, really one of the most predictable, ridiculous spot in 2006, it is cool like the first 2 times you see it, after that, it's like a bad moment to pass in the match!

well, chops, clothelines, punch, kick, I mean, they are like THE basic moves, it'd be kind of hard not to use a single one of them!! Just my two cents on these!!

"Schoolboy pin with a handful of trunks" and "Legs-on-the-ropes pin" are definitely overused.
I'd complain about ref bumps as well, but I know it's the only way to set up interferences and such "illegal" deeds.
The Overdrive seems to be the ideal midcard finisher, just as much the pumphandle slam is the generic hoss finisher. And shall we talk about the Chokeslam?

The superplex seems to be getting used more and more often.

The spinebuster, the spear...
A few years ago we could have counted the superkick in there as well but now it's reverted to it's rightful master...

"Cagebreaking moves". It was cool and exciting when Big Show first did it to Austin. Now it's starting to hurt the whole purpose to having the steel cage, especially with Rhino goring Christian out of the cage recently after that long and grueling match.

I'm going to have to say the hurricanrana. Everybody who's under 200 seems to do it nowadays... It was special when guys like early Mysterio & Micheals did it, and amazing when Scott Steiner broke it out, but now, it's just another move in a moveset, right next to headlock and armbar. Yuck.

Definately, the DDT. I guess it's because it's a ridiculously easy move to do, but so few wrestlers are able to pull it off and make it look effective.
The "Knife-edged chops in the corner". It seems like every wrestler now has a part of their match put aside so that they can prop their opponent in the corner and chop away at their chest. The other guys just seem to aim for the upper shoulder, too... Flair and Benoit look like they are aiming right for the heart when they are doing it.

They do need to encourage alot more snapmares, bodyslams, dropkicks and ten punch count in the corner. These used to be used all the time and have faded away and should be used more!

Snapmare is a great transitional move on TV. If a guy forgets what to do next, he can always use one of many possible follow-up moves.
