Thread info, for every match up: {Spoiler} (This was inspired by the fan-thread of Deadliest Warrior.)
This is fictional fights, where I set up two fictional characters against one another in a match up battle. From then on any posters here, argue or debate who would win in a fight between the two fictional characters.
NO Poll, will be given for this as this is NOT a Popularity Contest.
A poll will be given, but this is not a popularity contest. It's for who you think would win in a fight.
This can be determined in a combination in many different ways, whether that be with weapons, fighting style, strength, intelligence, skill, strategies, abilities, powers, battle tactics, or whatever you can think of. Remember to give Reasons!
I will be playing the role Deadliest Warrior "expert" "The Computer Nerd, who picks who gets the win."
I'm going into this with a clean mind, with not pre-conceived notions on who will win. I pick the winner, based on the better argument, on whichever character would win. 
Alot of the times, I don't know much about these characters, or weapons, so I'm depending on the "experts" of each character to help me out, in determining who is the Deadliest Fictional Fighter!So now here is the first match up for y'all: A Battle between two Indiana Jones wannabees from video games. Nate has magical healing powers, and a half tuck. And Lara's wiles can't affect Nate, since he goes for either more realistic, grounded women, or nut jobs.

Drake's only been in two games, but those two games already make a better franchise than the 10+ games Croft has done.
Plus Drake hasn't had horrible live-action movies..............yet.

After seeing Nate resist the charms of Chloe in Uncharted 2, I say Nate takes this.
Chloe is pretty much just like Lara Croft. She is a female treasure hunter with big jugs, a nice ass, and a British accent.
Nate ALSO uses better weapons than Lara, despite most of his weapons being found just laying on the battlefield. He's also a better hand to hand fighter than Lara.
Nate also has a very charming and charismatic personality, so he could lure Lara in and then off her, but he totally wouldn't do that, cause killing women isn't his style, so he'd most likely charm her over and bed her.

Maybe I will add a poll, just to see how everyone voted, but the winner won't be determined by the poll, but with good arguments on how and why one character would win the fight. Edit: Also people can suggest future characters or match ups to use, I'm open for anything, because I want you guys, to be the ones interested. Also help me out, with weapons and what not/how the fight could happen. Like the show. This way I can create a "simulation" (maybe a write-up, about how it goes through.  ) |

I would love to see Marcus Fenix vs. Master Chief, BUT in a 4 on 4 squad battle, cause that is how both guys fight. Well Master Chief usually has more guys with him, but it'll be to make it fair.
I would also like a Kratos vs. Link fight.
Though, just listing two characters and then having us debate over who would win, well that isn't a whole lot like Deadliest Warrior. We need to give both sides a list of weapons to use.
For Marcus Fenix vs. Master Chief, I already have their weapons picked out:
Close Range:
Chainsaw Bayonet(Marcus Fenix)
Covenant Energy Sword(Master Chief)

Gnasher Shotgun(Marcus Fenix)
M90 Close Assault Weapons System, aka Combat Shotgun(Master Chief)

Not too familiar with Drake, but for Koda's ideas, how about switching Nemean Cestus with one of the many magic possibilities. I thought about it, but none of his magic things are really weapons. Well, except for the Blade of Athena from the first GoW game, but then again, since I mostly gave him GoW2 and GoW3 weapons, yeah, we need more GoW1 representing, so the Blade of Athena. It is a magical sword, and wouldn't seem like cheating(cause Link has no defense for a purely magical attack). Plus it evens out. Link can't chuck his Bombs. They are too heavy for that, he'll have to either place it and lure Kratos in or light it then roll it towards Kratos, but he can't throw it. So both guys will be on equal footing range-wise. |

Long Range: Typhon's Bane
Special: Poseidon's Rage or Wings of Icarus (or could match up hermes sandals with whatever Link ran quickly with)
A pretty good line up there.

Interesting Thoughts Koda. I don't know much about most characters, so I was hoping, some people would bring up the characters weapons or skills, or what have you, to be put into the arsenal. Isn't it the experts of each warrior who help decide which weapons to use too?
So far what we got on both sides arsenal?
Lara Croft:
1. Seductive.
2. Able to escape trouble easily.
3.
4.
Nathan Drake:
1. Charismatic: Able to resist women's charms, but chivalrous.
2. Support Crew: Sully, Elena, Chloe.

4.

Also, I've added the suggestions onto a list of possible match ups.
They'll be randomized on which match-ups come up next.
I decided to use more than just weapons, as people have said, that the show is flawed, in that it only takes weapons into account and nothing else.

Ok, Close Range: Blade of Artemis Close Range: Fleece Medium Range: Blades of what have you Long Range: Typhon's Bane Special: Poseidon's Rage or Wings of Icarus (or could match up hermes sandals with whatever Link ran quickly with) A pretty good line up there. Typhon's Bane isn't really a lethal weapon, though. It shoots gusts of air, and it would cause death by knocking enemies into the gaping abysses that filled the levels. Bow of Apollo would let him shoot flaming arrows and thus would be a better choice. Plus I would rather have two medium range weapon face offs, cause Link's only close range weapon is his shield. WAIT! Better idea! Close Range: Blade of Artemis Master Sword Close Range: Spirit of Sparta Bomb Medium Range: Blades of what have you Hookshot(both have a similar max range, but Hookshot's is longer) Long Range: Bow of Apollo Hylian Bow Special Weapons: Golden Fleece Hylian Shield I did this re-arranging, cause in DW, if a warrior had a good shield/defensive item/weapon it was usually their Special Weapon. |

Also, not to question a Mod, but....
Wouldn't this be better suited to the Games forum where it was originally? Even with all the details, it's still pretty much a tournament-style game.

Hmm....let's see, Drake takes cover and knows his surroundings pretty well, dunno if Lara can't take cover, though. Drake's weapons range from grenade launchers down to normal handguns. Same as Lara's, really. These guys are pretty evenly matched. I mean Nate's nickname is Dude Raider for a reason. |

Interesting test run we have going here right now. (I wasn't sure how really do get this thing organized.)
We could use, a list of weapons in some cases like this one. I'm not saying don't just focus on the weapons, but if it has any effect, style can be considered.

I've never watched Deadliest Warrior, so I wouldn't know if this is allowed but.......
Drake's also got a better support crew.
.......well, he's at least got Sully. And Elena is surprisingly competent for the host of a TV show. Chloe.........I never got far enough into Uncharted 2 to figure out whether or not she betrayed you.
Lara Croft has..........................does she ever have anyone?

I'll just say this. Laura has an uncanny knack for getting out of situations she shouldn't. I mean how many gods, spirits, etc has she battled and lived to tell the tale?
As for a match up I sent a PM to rush suggesting Snake vs Fisher.
