Fairly ignorant rant on the charismatically challenged DiBiase's part. TNA may have Hogan, but their product is full of young, fresh talent. Also keep in mind that for as old as Hogan is, physically he looks better than HBK, Taker, and many others. TNA has young guys, but what are Legacy, Miz, Morrison, Sheamus, Kofi, Swagger, Bourne, and more? Dinosaurs?

Considering the biggest WWE storyline right now, and probably in years, is Bret Hart returning...Dibiase doesn't have any room to speculate on Hogans name value or TNA using old wrestlers for nostalgia value.
Lets face it. Both companies have been largely ineffective at pushing new stars or building young guys up to be big names. Both of them have a few guys and they are mainly the type like AJ, Cena or Orton who were too talented to not end up main eventers.
When it comes to either company nurturing young guys who have potential which needs to be realized they have both stumbled. Which is why I dont watch wrestling anymore.
We have the old guard like Undertaker, DX, Nash and Hall, etc. who have already done everything they can do and are now just treading water involved in storylines that are 200% less interesting than the stuff they were doing ten years ago.
Then we have the new guys who mostly have to serve as supporting characters even when they have championships, arent allowed to develop or show any clearly defined personalities and rarelyare involved in any sort of angle with more depth than "you attacked me from behind during a match" or "I won a number one contender battle royal and now I want your title!"

You should attend a Smackdown taping and offer to be saved by CM Punk...the TNA Kool Aid is making you say strange things. Trust me, it's for your own good ;D Lol. But seriously Dibiase Jr. is spot on about TNA. They need to put the young talent over to stand a chance against WWE. They need to do it now!

Junior is spot on when he says that the nostalgia factor definitely brings in the fans, but it can't maintain. If Jeff Hardy indeed is going to TNA, then he needs to get a major M.E. push in the company, and fast. Having one of the stars of the current era as a recognizable part of your product could go a long way toward bringing fans over to your side. Still they need to make a LOT of changes to be able to compete with WWE. But hey, its a start. Definitely good for business in general if they can get something going.

I know who Pedro Morales is. But, I can't say I'd pay money to watch him wrestle Exactly. I think everybody knows who Hulk Hogan is and I think at least 95% of people associate him with professional wrestling (the other 5% probably know him from reality TV), but if you never watched him wrestle, then he might not mean anything to you. A young kid knows who Wayne Gretzky is and what he means to hockey, but Sidney Crosby is a bigger deal because he's actually seen him play and can connect with him. For this reason, I can't see the nostalgia appeal that TNA is hanging its hat on to sustain for an extended period.

The thing about Hogan is, most people know who he is. But unlike Jordan, Ruth, et al. he's viewed by most of the non-wrestling fan audience as a luaghable joke or "that guy from the stupid reality shows" now. Just because people know who he is doesn't mean they like him (and the association with Bubba the Sex Invertebrate isn't helping his case either).
