So far it's most likely
Edge/Jericho HBK/Taker Cena/Batista Hart/McMahon
and possibly
HHH/Sheamus Orton/Dibiase/Rhodes
Looks to be one of the best wM cards in years, and that's just a portion of the card.
If there's one thing WWE can do right, it's WM buildup.

Of the feuds going on at the moment, only one that really has me interested is Cena / Batista. And even that has had its ups and downs - though if they go the rumored route with that, I will mark out.

They had that match at Summerslam with no buildup where Cena got hurt, then pretty much nothing after that. Done properly, it could be big. Big Dave plays a great "Huge Douche" character, like an overgrown frat boy or something. And HBK/Taker buildup will be great if they make HBK a mega-heel during the buildup. i don't care what anyone says, when he's on, HBK is the best heel in the business today.

Only intriging thing is Edge-Jericho.
HBK-Taker mania has been done.
Batista - Cena will be a horrible match.
McMahon v Brett?? Come on
In no way, shape or form, does this look like a top 20 mania, let alone one of the best.

Agreed with the OP.
This years 'Mania looks sick on paper. I'm actually really excited for it

I don't think we're going to get a Hart/McMahon match. I think the accident was to provide a excuse why Bret can't wrestle. They'll likely be seconding Cena and Batista respectively with Bret beating up Vince afterwords.

It can't possibly be worse than 9, 11, and 2...so throw those out. 4, 6, 7, 13 (save for the submission match), 15, and 16 are all pretty terrible too. I'm not sure how it can be any worse than any of these. Cena-Dave will be good. Summerslam '08 was good, and this has a story to it. Taker-Shawn has been done before...but done very well. McMahon-Bret if anything will be 5 minutes of Bret beating the shit out of Vince and making him tap to the sharpshooter. No more, no less.

Hart v McMahon and Cena v Batista will probably be combined into one match.

I honestly don't think HBK has it in him anymore to properly play a heel. The reason why he was such a fantastic heel in the mid 90s was because he was a douchebag in real life, it pretty much extended to his on-air role. While him finding religion turned him into a better man, it strictens what he can do with his character. Being in his 40s, its just not in his nature anymore. As far as the potential Wrestlemania card goes, it seems like a rehash of sorts. I mean, we've seen those matches before, and no matter what WWE does these days, the product just seems so lifeless to me.

HBK still has it in him to play a great heel, even his feud with Hogan was decent as a semi heel

The one thing i'd like to see is A Mania where at least 5 of the 7 titles they have go up for grabs. So Both Wrold Titles, Tag Titles. US Title. IC Title, Both Women's Title in a unification Match.

HBK had some heel-ish moments, and they were fantastic. I think, storyline wise, if they have him completely consumed with it, to the point where he shuns HHH (even attacks him if need be) and stalks the Undertaker everywhere he goes on TV from now until Mania-- exchanging mind games with him, it can be great again.

Heel HBK is about the only thing that can sell this Mania to me if there's no MITB.

HBK's been going a bit heelish lately, just like in the buildup to last year's Mania, he wasn't a full heel, just went with the crowd reactions because he was going against the Undertaker, he doesn't need to be a full heel to be entertaining.

McMahon-Bret if anything will be 5 minutes of Bret beating the s*** out of Vince and making him tap to the sharpshooter. No more, no less. Jericho - Edge should be decent. However, the outcome seems quite transparent. Cena - Batista will be the shits, in my book. For a match to be good, at least one of the guys needs to be talented enough to carry the load. These two caricatures leave a lot to be desired, in my opinion. HBK - Taker was surprisingly decent, last year, but nothing to cream over. The sequel has potential to be watchable, but I doubt we'll get anything more than last year. They, pretty much, let it all hang out before and Taker definitely has less to give as a result. Unless he kills himself, I don't expect much out of him. Bret - Vince is... well, I just want it to be over. It would be nice to see Hart slap Vince in the sharpshooter and have a triumphant WM moment, but I'm worried for his health and the sooner this is over, the better. I'll enjoy it more in retrospect, assuming nothing goes wrong, but it makes me nervous to see him out there knowing he's so fragile. As for the WM events that you mentioned, there's so much wrong with that, I don't have time for it all. But each one of those cards featured at least one match that is probably superior to anything we'll see this year. In my opinion, of course.

HBK - Taker was surprisingly decent, last year... HEH!? Let me understand this. You expected a bad match between HBK & the Undertaker? They couldn't put on a bad match together if they tried.
