*Inspiration to Citizen Snips for his classic movies thread*
So what are some current or semi-current (however you choose to take that) movies you don't like?
Mine would be District 9, I didn't even make it through the whole movie. The aliens looked amazing, but watching it was like watching an episode of The Office on the History channel, with it's fake interviews and documentary style look. Plus I found the main character to be annoying and obnoxious.

The movie is built like that on purpose, to get you to understand exactly why shit goes down like it does in the second half.

Um, I think I got up to like 45 minutes left, so it had stopped with the documentary stuff but the movie wouldn't pick up, and I couldn't get behind it. I know I was supposed to care about the main character's hand situation and all that jive, but I just couldn't. Nothing was keeping me hooked in except for how cool the aliens looked, and that wasn't enough for me to finish the movie.

Took my gf to see that George Clooney film that was up for an Oscar and fell asleep.
Gf busted my chops the rest of the night for having a nap.
Thanks a lot George.

Watchmen. Great opening sequence and then nothing happens for the next 3 hours.
Transformers 2 Absolute crap.

Transformers 2 and Napoleon Dynamite were two films that all my friends LOVED and I was the sole person who disliked the films (it seemed). Got alot of flack for it too.

I gotta agree with District 9. As I've said a few times on here, the lead was such a douche that when I was supposed to start feeling sorry for him, I just couldn't. I loved the concept of the movie, but I couldn't get into the characters at all
GI Joe was a steaming pile of crap, and I actually hate it more then Transformers 2
New Moon. Having to watch garbage like this makes me almost wish I were single. What about Bella is supposed to be likable in the least? Hell, the only likable character is Jacob and the movie tries to make him into the bad guy even tho he gets f***ed over royally. But seriously, why the f*** am I supposed to like Bella? She's such a selfish bitch!

Cloverfield, Dark Knight, and any one of Seth Rogen's "haha, I'm high all the time, aren't I a loveable underachiever?" movies.

Step-Brothers. A lot of my friends thought it was hilarious. I thought that it was stupid as f***. I hated that movie, it was hard as hell to get through it. Okay, here's mine: The Crazies Boondock Saints 2 Paul Blart: Mall Cop Knocked Up And I had low expectations for 3 of the 4 movies, and I still thought they sucked ass. Cloverfield, Dark Knight, and any one of Seth Rogen's "haha, I'm high all the time, aren't I a loveable underachiever?" movies. Hey, he was a decent voice in Monsters vs. Aliens, but yeah, I get your hate.
