Sad. She's one of the few actresses in Hollywood to have never had elective surgery done to improve her appearance, and people choose to trash her for the way she looks. We should be applauding her.
But then again, this is the internet. No one is safe.

She's arrogant, she's a terrible actress, she dressed like she's picking out her outfits blindly, and she's less attractive than a 3rd degree burn victim. Jed Shaffer ~Other than that, delightful human being. Took the words out of my....fingers...

She looks like a witch with that mole on her chin. and she can't act. my wife watches her stuff and i often get stuck watching it. she has a trend to squeel when conveying being surprised. i HATE it.

Not going to comment on her looks, but in terms of acting and screen presence Sarah Jessica Parker is the woman you cast as the best friend who's somehow ended up playing the leading lady time and time again.
From what I saw of her on Sex and the City (insert doubting comment about BorneAgain's supposed heterosexuality here), she was supposed to be the main character to empathize with, but:
-Cynthia Nixon was a better actress. -Kristin Davis had a believable appearance as a Manhattan socialite. -Kim Catrall fit the R-rated content of the show much better.
She's just an ill fit for the roles she's gotten.

Wouldn't say she's ugly, but nah, don't find her attractive. Do agree on the nice bod diagnosis though.

But then again, this is the internet. No one is safe. No....what's sad is that she is someone who, for the line of work they are in, would most benefit FROM some elective surgery, and yet she hasn't done it. That tells me she's in some sort of denial about her appearance. I mean, yeah, Hollywood is the capital of "Get Needless Plastic Surgery", but here we have a case of someone who actually WOULD benefit from it, who actually would look better for it....and she WON'T do it. I'm not saying that she needs to go the Joan Rivers, "Expressionless robot" route....but a LITTLE work here or there would NOT hurt her one bit. There's being true to who you are....and then there's just plain sticking your head in the sand.

I don't understand why a woman should feel the need to have to go through potentially dangerous elective surgical procedures just because people think she's ugly. Why should she feel the need to if she's fine with her appearance? Should all unattractive people subject themselves to the risks of plastic surgery to please others? I remember at the end of 2009 there was a story about a model dying after getting butt implants. A totally unnecessary procedure that led to her death and left a child without a mother. Insisting that her refusal to get any work done is "sad" is a pretty ridiculous statement IMO. (For the record, I don't think she's all that attractive, but I'll never criticize someone for refusing to have unnecessary plastic surgery)

I think Parker is certainly an attractive women and not ugly or anything.
But I think a lot of the backlash to her was because she was pushed as this sex symbol, but not many people bought it. Likewise, on Sex and the City, Carrie was often referred to as the best looking one, and always had men drooling over her all the time.
I think it was more a rejection of how she was marketed rather than people being mean and singling her out.

(For the record, I don't think she's all that attractive, but I'll never criticize someone for refusing to have unnecessary plastic surgery) Your statement lacks context though. I mean, one of the main factors in that model's death was WHERE she had the work done. I believe it was in a cut rate "chop shop" in Mexico, if I recall correctly. That's not to say that deaths and injury and infections don't happen in the US...they do. But as far as I am aware, they don't happen on the levels that they do in third world or developing nations. And in defense of my earlier statement....if she were in ANY other line of work, I would be in agreement with you a thousand percent. But SHE chose to be in a line of work where by nature, how you look is 98% of your career. And as someone else said, she gets all these roles where she's supposed to be the "hot" one, or a stud magnet or whatever...and in some of her films, she's even STOLEN the hot guy away from MUCH, MUCH better looking women! You put her in a movie opposite better looking women, you're just emphasizing her....lack of conventional beauty. ALL of the Sex and The City women are more feminine and (IMO) prettier than SJP. But SHE's the one they point to as the "hot" chick in the group. I honestly don't get how there's NOT supposed to be a backlash against how she's marketed. I mean, look at Kelly Clarkson *I* think she's cute and hot right now, but I know that she's heavier than the norm, and if you ask the average person on the street, they're gonna say that she needs to lose weight, or that she's NOT hot. Then again, Kelly is in a field where your voice matters a BIT more than your looks. SJP is a profession where she's in films with incredibly gorgeous people, and thus her OWN average (or below average, if you want) looks stand out even MORE. Thus my comment about her being in denial, and her actually NEEDING plastic surgery. Does the average woman need it? NO. But the average woman's looks are not her livelihood.

So she needs to get surgery done because the roles she receives are unrealistic? That's not her fault. She shouldn't have to change herself because of that. It sounds like you only want her to get plastic surgery for your own reasons, because to you, she doesn't look like she fits the role for which she was casted. Blame that on the producers or casting directors or whoever gave her those parts. You insist she get plastic surgery because it's her livelihood. She's managed to earn millions of dollars over the years in spite of her appearance, so I don't think it's anything she really needs to be too concerned about.
No woman NEEDS plastic surgery. It's called "elective surgery" for a reason.

She's so popular because she gives ugly women everywhere the hope that they can get the same guys as their hot friends.

I don't mind her. Great body and a ok face. Sometimes I'm just attracted to some flaws. I don't know why, but maybe it's because it gives me the feeling I really have the chance of doing it with this one and my ladykilling skills go off the roof. Damn you biological horny hormones!

Meh I don't consider her ugly but its obvious that she has serious ego problems as Kim Cattrall,Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon can't stand her.
