Anyone else tried the new Domino's Pizza? The Ann-Arbor favorite is FINALLY changing their formula after 50 years of avoiding the Noid. I had it twice last week and I have to say it was better than expected. My full review here - popularopinions.wordpress.com/2010/04/12/dominos/

Had it a week after it debuted. Didn't like it. Actually made the pizza taste old, IMO.
Oh well, I was always more of a Pizza Hut/Papa Johns guy anyway.

I liked it.
I usually get pepperoni, mushroom and onion. They gave the dough flavor, and the sauce is better.
All in all, I'm happy with the change.

It's better than it used to be, but the crust isn't too great for me. Too garlicy for my tastes, but the actual pizza was pretty good.

Pizza's really, really good. They overdo it a little on the garlic on the crust, but it is good.

First of all, it seems we have a new one of these threads every single month. Not that I care, mind you, it's just that since I work at Dominos I just notice it a lot.
Second of all, anyone that doesn't like the overdone garlic on the crust can ask for either light garlic sauce or no garlic sauce on the crust.

I don't really mind it, myself, except it gives me garlic breath.

I have had it and did not care for it. I love garlic but I just didn't like it. I do think it's a slight improvement over their old kind but I still prefer Pizza Hut and Papa John's as far as national brands go.

Which, because of my diet, is very rare.

I liked it alot. I used to love Domin's back in the early 90s, they seem like they lost their way after that but the new pizza is really good. Lots of flavor and like Papa Geno's you can make it to order on line, love it.

There's a Domino's two blocks up the street from my apartment. I've been hitting up their special for two medium two toppings for $12 quite a bit. Extra cheese and Brooklyn style pepperoni. Freaking amazing.
When I was a kid, we ordered Domino's delivery one night and my dad almost bit into a penny that somehow made it into the crust. We got another pizza but I was scared to eat it. Now that I've had this new pizza, not to mention made a female friend at the store that digs my Mario gear, I'd say that it's overall a positive outcome for Noid and company. I will not be complaining anytime soon.

No opportunities for me, our local Dominos went out of business. They were always too expensive anyways.

When it first debuted, it was way oversauced here.
I thought it was just that one time I ordered it, but when I ordered it again, same thing -- way too much garlic.
But now that I have switched to a different store in my area, I am satisfied.
The only thing is, though, before the change, Domino's was my favorite fast food pizza. Now I find myself not ordering pizza as much.

I think it's pretty decent. And it's pretty good re-heated, too. Which is a nice quality in a delivery pizza.

They tried way too hard. People complained that the sauce tasted like ketchup, so they throw all of these spices into the sauce that make it overbearing. People complained that the crust tasted like cardboard, so they douse the crust in garlic.
It's better than what it used to be, but it's not great. If I'm calling Domino's (and I rarely do), it's for the cheesy bread, not the pizza.

My bad, I searched for 30 days and couldn't find it. Although when it comes to cheesy bread, Papa Johns excels past all competitors, particularly when considering the sauces.

Other than the crust it really didn't taste all that different. Of course I'm one of those weird people who liked it before they changed it so I'm not complaining.

It tastes much, much better. I'm not big on garlic but it definitely adds a much-needed "kick" to the crust and leaves you feeling more filled than the old cardboard-esque pizza recipe.
