[Supposed to be a cool little graphic here, but I didn't get around to it ] Anyway here's a little "series" I hope to be keeping up with, in which I'll name mainly unpopular people or events (board rules in mind of course) and see everybody's opinions on them. First up in WC Opinions, popular ventriloquist comedian Jeff Dunham With a guy like Jeff Dunham, it seems there is really no middle ground, either you love him or you hate him. But WrestleCrap, what is your opinion of Jeff Dunham? Also if you have any reccomendations as to who I can use for this series, please PM me as I'll be looking for some ideas

Hate him.
His comedy is so mediocre that I can't stand watching him for any length of time.

Not a fan at all. Decent puppeteer, but his humor's not my thing.

I can see the guy is talented, but I'm not a huge fan. He seems to go for the 'easy' punchline too much.

He's alright, nothing special. His show was atrocious though. Glad people saw the light on that one.

Funny but I never had interest in his show.
I agree with the OP, no middle ground on this guy at all.

The only bit of Dunham's that made me laugh was the following poem, read to a wooden puppet:
I was camping one night, just nature and me I got a little excited, and there stood a tree She was tall, and slender, and reached to the sky [puppet interrupts] To do what you did, you must've been high!
He f***ed a tree. That's pretty hilarious. Other than that, not my cup of tea, but I can see why people like him.

His show was suck ass, but I went to see him live one time and he was one funny mothersnorker. Made me laugh all night, and he even took a shot at himself during the Bubba J bit. He hadn't done it for awhile and he was using cue cards, and we all were saying his act verbatim. He had made one statement about it being like the church of Bubba J, and then about halfway into the bit he turned Bubba J's head towards himself and said, "It's kind of sad when they know your act better than you do, eh?"

His second special was incredible, but like most comedians these days he became overplayed when he became popular. I just need a break from him. His show though was horrible.

Didn't he play that racist Mexican dude from Reno 911? He was pretty funny.

I think he's hysterical but I wish he wouldn't rely so much on tacky racial humor. And I can't stand Bubba J.

There's always an awkward moment in your life, when a relative puts him on and sits there fully expecting you to laugh. Mind, catchphrase comedy is the pits, always has, always will be. Get one particular expression right and kaboom, it lives on that nostalgia 'til people no longer want it as text message alert tone.

Get rid of that dumb terrorist character with that "SILENCE! I KILL YOU!" line and he's at least tolerable.
