When you visit that site, a malware trojan called Win32/Mebroot is being instantly downloaded to your system. Even with Firefox's adblock, and no script add-ons enabled, I received this piece of malware trying to download itself onto my system. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up just in case it does attack you. An uninstaller is available here

AVG managed to block it. I downloaded the uninstaller found in your link and it said the trojan wasn't found. I wonder how the trojan got there in the first place.

So that's that weird "flash" logo that popped up for no raisin? Thank you, happily the uninstaller didn't find it.

Not saying nothing about having a Mac then. Not a single word.

Anytime I try to get on the site today, the browser (both Firefox and IE) crash and need to start up again. Luckily the virus was blocked, but how do I go to the site w/out the web browser crashing? Or is that something the site/browser will get notice of and eventually fix?

I was able to browse after AVG had blocked the virus, but I decided to avoid the site until the trojan goes away. I'm not taking any chances.

I've been lucky. I haven't gotten any of that stuff since I installed AVG Internet Security.

There's another good reason to avoid Newz sites.

I honestly don't know where it is on the site... but yeah, it pretty much ruined my experience on the site. At least for today.

It's listed as a frame, so I guess script editors can't touch it.

Has any of the head honchos of 411mania (or anyone on the site) said anything about it yet? I'm playing it safe and not checking it out for myself.

Just noted that 411mania's Twitter feed does not mention the trojan and as of 35 minutes ago (the time of their last tweet) they were still posting links to news articles on the site.

How does this affect articles linked to that site? I found an archive of all of scott keiths ppv rants and several of them are linked to the 411mania versions of the rants.
