Bobby Lashley is another Ahmed Johnson. Big, fast, impressive and totally uninterested in wrestling. He is just too 'real'. Let's not get carried away here. Ahmed couldn't seem to have one match without legitimately injuring either himself or his opponent. Lashley may not be great but he's nowhere near as bad as Ahmed was. Case in point, Ahmed just hurt himself while reading that post

But at least Lashley could take a bump. And the Pacman press wasn't good press. It was a deriding blurb on ESPN, a 30 second or so joke on PTI. And this was from a guy they got solely because he was suspended for possibly playing a part in paralyzing a former professional wrestler. Lashley was never going to be a good performer, and yeah he is a waste of space on a wrestling roster, but if anyone's return on the investment was less than Lashley, it was Pacman. Pacman made TNA look slightly worse than if they hadn't brought him in. Agree that Pacman was a worse decision overall, but more people are likely to remember Lashley's aborted runs in TNA and WWE than Pacman in TNA (who honestly didn't do too much). Lashley, on the other hand, not only participated in matches, but got wins over marketable guys (Samoa Joe, Desmond Wolfe). I agree, but I don't people remembering his run isn't really a bad thing (especially if he does well in MMA). Yeah, it was forgettable, but it didn't really do anything negative for the company either. He was just there.

At least TNA actually used him. WCW paid guys more money than Lashley probably got to just sit at home.
All wrestling companies waste money. Its the nature of the business. At least all he was given in TNA was a few wins and nothing of any real note. WWE probably wasted a lot more money on him, in all honesty. His heart just isn't in pro wrestling.
