Both competitors are down when out of nowhere, a 3rd person not in the match runs in, climbs the ladder, and takes the belt.
I was thinking about this the other day since it would mean that Cena wouldn't have to go to Smackdown since Edge wouldn't win and it could lead to some sort of tournament or triple threat match for the belt.

but it's WWE we're talking about, they'd prbably consider it a brilliant swerve while the fans would see it as a cheap cop-out ending. It would be a great way to get a major heel some heat though

As far as swerve endings to matches that screw over the fans, something I've always wanted to see for the pissed off crowd reaction alone is there are two men fighting in the Royal Rumble and there is one guy left to come on out. The two guys eliminate each other at the same time, and the 30th guy wins before even reaching the ring.

I always thought an interesting finnish in a tag ladder match would be one guy from each team grabbing down a single title at the same time.

I still think that the Lita option is the best way to screw Cena. Not only that, but perhaps Lita gets fired for her actions. Considering that the talk is that she is looking to leave as well, it would be a Jericho-type send-off for the heel. It would also create a storyline about how Edge has to learn how to cheat without anyone there to help him out. Hell, he might even start hitting on Mickie and Victoria in an effort to create a new "Lita" so that he doesn't have to change. |

I thought of a similar scenario some time ago. You have the 29th guy in the ring, then a guy that he's feuding with comes back in and eliminates him. The next night on Raw, he relinquishes his title shot to someone else, likely a client of his. I believe this happened in Memphis (go figure). A tag team was left as the last two people in a number one contenders battle royal and refused to fight each other. A ref jumped in and ordered them to wrestle but, both jumped out at the same time and the ref was declared the winner. The only difference was he took the title shot the next week (he lost). Isnt that how X/Syxx Pac won the X Division title? Yes. |
