I don't get what the deal with Kofi is. I have watched wrestling for almost thirty years and he is not impressive one bit at all. He is a middle mid carder at best IMHO. You say the same thing about every black wrestler.

one positive for Kofi. A squash like that against a main event doesn't always mean much. Sid once just destroyed Rzor Ramon to build his feud against Diesel.

From Kofi's jobbing tonight, I don't think we'll see him at Mania. My hope is that the last slot will be decided on NXT, let the rookies have a tournament or Battle Royal or whatever to determine who gets the last MITB slot on the biggest show of the year. Kofi jobbed in the final match of the night to the guy they are building to be in the main event of Wrestlemania. The fact that they considered Kofi high enough up on the roster for a decisive Batista victory over him to mean something is actually a good sign. He'll be on the card somehow. I say pre-show battle royal to get the final MITB spot. They needed to keep someone back who would actually suit the match to qualify, so Kofi is a good choice. He'll get a bigger push after the draft. His feud with Orton was his trial, and I say he done well.

10 guys in MITB? Why not make it 30 (all of the midcard) and REALLY amp things up?
What happened to 6?

You say the same thing about every black wrestler. As a person who has watched wrestling almost thirty years I can give a list of black wrestlers who I liked watching: Ernie Ladd, Junkyard Dog, Ron Simmons, Butch Reed, Harlem Heat(especially Booper T), Pistol Pez Whatley and the list can go on. The fact is that Kofi is not really talented or a good wrestler in my opinion. You claim I say this because he is a black wrestler. But I am and was a huge Booker T mark. Booker T may be slightly bigger than Kofi although they are generally around the same size. The reason I like Booker T over Kofi is because Booker T actually has wrestling skills and is talented. Kofi is not.

It will be a mystery until the show. During the match, Santino will leap from his seat in the front row and climb the ladder, retrieving the briefcase. I would mark so hard I'd explode.

Sorry, but that still doesn't change the fact that Kofi is a medium midcard wrestler at best. He does not impress me. And I have a right to feel that way. If Kofi is what the here and now represents then the quality of professional wrestling has declined sharply.

There's nothing wrong with a guy prefering larger wrestlers. WWE has spent decades pushing the bigger guys, so it's only natural that a large portion of wrestling fans take them more seriously as stars than the lighter wrestlers.

If you automatically equate smaller guys with less talented, rather than "guys I'm not that interested in seeing," then you need to look closer at your opinions. I actually prefer larger guys myself, but when I criticize the smaller ones I at least admit that my biggest problem with them is suspension of disbelief

Kofi Kingston is one of my least favourite wrestlers and MVP is my favourite. I just don't get what WWE see in him, he's not exciting in the ring, he's average on the mic and I'm glad his push isn't there anymore. There's more deserving people like MVP and Evan Bourne who should get that push.

His finish is a weak big boot or the worst finish in the history of wrestling, the playmaker. I do enjoy him in some tag teams, watching him play off others, but as for titles he's transitional US/IC level at best.

I go back to the territory days. I had already been watching wrestling for awhile even before the first Wrestlemania. Yes it is 2010 but I have around 30 years of wrestling memories. And frankly Kofi is middle midcard at best IMHO. Now if other people feel differently than that is their perogative. I grew up in the generation where wrestlers paid their dues through the territories and were not made instant stars on debut. I will say it one last time I am not impressed with Kofi like it or not.
