Yeah yeah he's a nice guy whoopty doo! I'm sure he's real nice and all that good stuff but my point is, he wants the attention. If he didn't, please explain why he would pretty much wear a costume to every single show. If I went to every WWE event wearing a big yellow top hat and striped suspenders with a bright blue shirt to EVERY SINGLE EVENT and sitting in the front row, I would realize that I will garner attention. There's no way you can't realize that. No one seems to bring up the fact that the guy wears the exact same thing to every single event. Why would you do that if you were not trying to be recognized? The guy wears a shirt that says WWE SIGN GUY! Come on folks. I'm sure he's a great guy, but wearing the same costume, which has WWE Sign guy in big letters on your t-shirt is an obvious cry for attention. who cares about what he wears? (sigh) People are saying he does not want attention. I am saying by wearing the same thing to every show including a shirt that says WWE Sign Guy, he IS in fact craving attention. Ummm...duh

I could easily argue that you're just looking for attention by starting this thread.

Ummm...duh I don't think anyone is denying that he likes the attention, but most of us either don't care or enjoy his antics. It's human nature to crave attention and to be liked.

becausehe's distracting and at timesannoying
why?
making and holding up signs..everyone does that, wearing the same stuff,a lil weird but seeing as we have yellow/pink couple,Green Lanternfan and Vladimir..it could be worse
but..his theatrics during some matches as I stated before and whereas most peoplemainly hold their signs before and after matches, but have em down to watch it, he puts his up, blocking peoples view and generally drawing attention to himself, plus some of his signs are a lil too big and stuff..like his "Carlitos embarrassed brother" one
As for the stunt he pulled on Edge with the signs, oh it looks a hoot on TV..but imagine you are someone in ..say the 4th row, you arew a huge edge fan and this ticket was a special thing, possibly a one off, you see you hero, just 4 rows infront, great photo opportunity..but boom all these signs go up...and its ruined for ya
It is tragic he lost his wife n yes he could do worse things to get over her, but he started this in..what? 2001 at least..thats 9 years, and also the debts he was running up and stuff, I mean c'mon.. yes there areworse things..but theres also better things
I'm not saying he can't have fun.. BUT you have to admit he can be offputting when watching a match

Vladimir..well someone had him on their sig once..the thing is he doesn't look russian or anything, hes a tanned kinda scrawny guy with a black close cut hair, glasses and usually weara a tank top, mainly seen in early to mid 90's WWE/WCW the bestguy is and always will be yellow T-shirt guy

He must not be too distracting, because I've notice his signs and not him. Didn't even know what the guy looked like until this rather creepy thread started.

I've never noticed this guy. Only fans that I recognize are pink shirt guy that's always in the front row several times a year, and the guy that always dresses up as Hulk Hogan (he was around a lot in the 90's, haven't seen him lately).

Hmmm... well first off, this allows me to ask a question I've been dying to know.
There has been a guy (that I haven't seen lately), but was around late 90's early 00's, that kinda looked like Rob Zombie... had really long hair, sunglasses, and I swear was at every bloody event for years. I had nicknamed him "The Real Vince McMahon" because I always joked the Vince on camera was just a work, and he was just watching the product from afar. (Yes, that's a joke, but still...)
If anybody has any info on that guy, I'd love to know about it...
But seriously, in the discussed "Sign Guy", he has a passion for wrestling that's so over the top, he's managed to become an icon. And echoing the sentiments of other folks here, he's not an old guy by any measure, and going through the death of his wife at that age is just plain awful. If he dealt with it by treating WWE like the Grateful Dead, and just writing a crapload of signs (some good, some not), then GREAT! I think it's admirable that he's found something to have fun with.
Far as I'm concerned, he can keep on keepin' on. And I'd love to see him as guest host. Beats having schmucks from some USA show, or some Nascar idiot. I saw his Deal Or No Deal episode, and it was mildly entertaining (especially when Orton & Edge came out to heckle him. Classic.) He wouldn't be great, but I promise he'd appreciate it more than anyone else.

Only on the wrestlecrap forums can someone complain about a guy having a good time at a show and wanting to be seen on TV. Why aren't you complaining about everyone else who brings signs to shows? They are clearly doing it to get it noticed. You can't hate one guy for doing it but be ok with everyone else doing it.
Actually I take that back. On the wrestlecrap forums you can be as big a hypocrite as you want.

I like the Sign Guy. I actually met him and got a picture with him at a house show in White Plains.

For anyone wondering or not remembering who superfan Vladimir is, this might help refresh your memory (below)... Didn't Heenan even mention him by name on commentary once?

I really hate him to be honest. He portrays a super-fan who yells at the heels and cheers the faces then you see him doing smarky interviews online talking about the "product". He's playing a character and that's what irritates me.
But that's me. I don't care if that means I'm not one of the cool kids.

The only thing that I find annoying is his costume. Why does he need to wear the same thing to every show? He has this childish desire to be recognized and feel like a character on the show. His signs are clever. He seems like a bright guy. It just seems like his desire to connect with the wrestlers is over the top. Plus he always gets on camera. This is pretty much how I feel. If he wore different clothes or something. Its like that one Ernest movie, where he opens his closet, and its nothing but Khaki hats, grey shirts, and jean vests. I bet the sign guy has the same thing. A closet full of backwards baseball caps, blue work shirts, and kiss army shirts.

True. Same sentiments. He is so into getting noticed and being on tv or part of the product.
I feel bad enough still watching wrestling and going to events at 31. If I told my friends I was going to wear the same outfit every time and take posters, I wouldn't have any friends.
