So, Is Olivia Munn a Daily Show Reporter Now?

Last night, Jon Stewart introduced Olivia as their new "Senior Asian Correspondent" as she was reporting on the oil spill's effect on Vietnamese people in the area. Now, I don't follow AotS at all anymore, but does anyone know if she's left the show for this gig, or is this just a one-off thing?

Being a correspondent is usually not a full-time thing, so she may be able to do both shows.

I didn't see it, but I'd bet if she shows up more than once, she'll be a Daily Show correspondent the same way Mick Foley is a Daily Show correspondent: extremely rare cameos.

No....its probably just a cameo thing (like Mick Foley does from time to time).

Although even with Olivia's recent absences, they usually have either Morgan or that Angie chick (from It's Effin' Science) fill in on more occasions than they do with Alison. Why they don't use Alison as Olivia's permanent substitute is beyond me. Although I dig Webb on AotS too, she seems like she has much more fun on that show than on X-Play.

Anyways, if she does get it, she'll be juggling 3 different jobs; AotS co-host, cast member on Perfect Couples (new show coming on NBC), and now Daily Show Senior Asian Correspondent.

I wouldn't be worried about her permanent leaving AotS, she recently stated herself that she's not leaving that show. Besides the Daily Show gig is just a rare occasion deal, like Foley's.

Correct, nothing has been announced on O's website or the usual channels about Olivia leaving Attack of the Show. In fact, Olivia is apart of a new show on NBC that's getting picked up.

I imagine it's only a matter of time before she leaves, but for now she's still on AOTS.

Asif appearing was gold, as Asif usually is. I did like Olivia's reaciton to Asif being "He's good."

The only thing that segment was missing was Ollie. An appearance by Jon Oliver would have made the segment even better.

I watched the segment and thought it was good stuff. That being said, she really didn't have to actually DO much in that segment - pretty much all of the other correspondents did all the heavy lifting.

If she did get the gig, I wouldn't be shocked if she eventually left AOTS. People actually watch The Daily Show and Comedy Central is about as far from the ratings basement that G4 inhabits as networks come.

Yeah, Asif stole the show on this one, although the shit with Sam and Jason was good, too. It was kinda weird, because all Olivia really did was speak Vietnamese and swear. That's about it. Oh, and look hot.
