The ORIGINAL Star Wars trilogy by far. It's one of the greatest trilogies ever made.
Lord of the Rings was great, as was Back to the Future and Spiderman. I wish I could say Rambo or Die Hard, but Die Hard got that 4th movie which I don't like...and Rambo has that fourth movie that I love to death. ^_^

Gotta agree with the earlier post that mentioned the Dollars trilogy, with Clint Eastwood as the Man With No Name. I'd argue that the 3rd film (The Good, The Bad and the Ugly) is the best western ever made (and yes I think it's better than High Noon or The Searchers). I'd argue its the best FILM ever made. I vote for the dollars trilogy too. Not a bad scene between the three films.

Original Star Wars, Godfather, LOTR, Back to the Future, Toy Story, and I am pretty sure after Batman 3 that the new Batman Tril will be in that discussion too.

The thread begins and ends with Sta Wars! There's only one "Return," okay, and it ain't "of the King," it's "of the Jedi." F'n A. (Sorry, I couldn't find a pic of the guy who said it, which would have made my post more complete.)

The third was in terrible and the second one is far from good. Anyway, the correct answer to this question is MANIAC COP!

Back to the Future. Both sequels were able to maintain the same spirit and quality as the original, which is incredibly rare.

The third was in terrible and the second one is far from good. I've heard that a gazillion times and I'll give you the same response I give everyone else. You opinion is your opinion. But for me, EVERY TMNT MOVIE IS AWESOME.

Star Wars. And it's not close. And considering that 3/4 of the people who answered also said it, just saying "I don't like it" isn't good enough not to include it.

This really begins and ends with Star Wars. Say "trilogy" and most people immediately think "Star Wars."

The Dollars Trilogy because it is essentially flawless.
I would have voted for the Godfather, but Part 3 completely drops the ball.
