So last weekend I was cleaning up a stack of paper that had accumulated on my dresser and was surprised to discover three crispy $20 bills buried in the pile from God knows when.
And somehow I lost this windfall again as quickly as I found it. The money isn't in my wallet, it isn't in the pockets of any of my clothes that I've worn since then, it isn't in the laundry machine, it isn't in my dresser or nightstand, I didn't deposit it at the bank, and I know I haven't spent it.
It was only $60, not like a few hundred or something, and I suppose since I didn't know I had it before anyway I haven't really lost anything. Easy come, easy go, right? But at this point it's the principle of the thing that bothers me more than the actual money. It makes me wonder if I'm going crazy or something.
Would anyone care to reassure me that I'm too young to be losing my faculties? Or, you know, encourage my paranoia if that would bring more amusement?

There is early-onset Alzheimer's, but it's extremely rare and I've never heard of a case as young as 23...

No. The youngest person to be diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease was 16.

You ever look at the back of a 20 Dollar Bill?
There's some weird stuff going on there, man.

There are lots of memory problems. Why don't you get a pad of paper, and start writing things down, and keep track of laspes, and see if it's a problem, or just momentary.

Everybody forgets things every now and then, but if you're truly concerned, go see a physician. They can rule out several physical causes (including vitamin deficiencies) before ruling in something like early-onset Alzheimer's.
Has anybody in your family had Alzheimer's? (Onset at any age).

Well, if it isn't, you'll be posting a new thread just like this in an hour.

I wish I could reassure you that your not getting early onset Alzheimer's but I can't because I sometimes wonder if I have a case of it myself. >.<

You have no idea how tempted I was to delete this thread and then when asked just say, "What thread? I do not recall any thread."
