Seems to be completely false... www.jrsbarbq.com/blog/thursday-updatestone-cold-visitrockhomeland-grocery-newsscott-cokermick-foleyfree-shipping-jrs-"It seems that many within the wrestling media know more about my Wrestlemania assignment that do I. I still don't know what I'm specifically and officially doing in Phoenix but as I mentioned I am just happy to be attending the event. So for those of you that may read what my role is going to be in conjunction with WM26, and insiders might be correct at the end of the day, just for the record and as of today I don't know. However, if you get any more inside info please share it. I need to know what to pack. I've also I read where I signed a new contract with WWE, I hope to BTW, however that is also wrong as what I signed was a contract extensition to take us through the end of April. Re-signing with WWE is my top priority and I hope that we can get another, long term deal done sooner than later. "

I really hope JR commentates at Mania. Even if it is only for HBK/Taker II. He is the only one that can give a match that true big-time feel.

Or losing his mind, judging by the amount of times he's asked about this every day.
It's nice to be wanted but sheesh, some people need to leave the poor guy alone for a bit.

He likes to work us sometimes so...yeah.

hopefully they let him have a live entrance. this may be one of the last times we see JR and him getting the kind of return pop usually reserved for wrestlers. it would be a real feel-good moment, and everyone loves JR.
and i know it's been said, but striker being out is kinda meh. king should miss wrestlemania, he seems like a nice enough person in real life, but he really adds nothing to the show anymore.

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter Ross signed a short-term extension this past week, believed to be one month. His former contract expired this week. ... But then again, I remember when JR had his column on WWE.com, where every other week he seemed to go out and find the silliest "newz" avaliable, and talk about how it was obviously false, while ignoring the more common items from established reporters.

It might be a tell tale sign of just how bad of shape JR is in by him not appearing on WWE television since his last bout with this illness.
And by WWE signing him to a short term deal, it leads me to believe that they might think he won't be able to recover enough to commentate for the company ever again.
Just think about it, everyone in WWE knows even a slurring JR is 300% better than Todd Grisham, so it must be almost impossible to understand him right now if they haven't brought him back to Smackdown.

It's weird, other wrestlers/on-air talent have a contract story once in a blue moon, yet JR seems to sign a "long term contract" every year.
I do hope he commentates Wrestlemania.
