Is it safe to assume that we will see the Undertaker vs. John Cena at WM 27 ? John Cena is the last main event superstar who has yet to face Undertaker at Wrestlemania. I could see the WWE trying to build another WM with the streak as a selling point, considering who over the streak is. Plus, Undertaker takes about six months off after Wrestlemania, so he always has time to rest up and prepare for a big Wrestlemania match. Cena vs. Taker would be another match in which would be highly unpredictable, and can leave the fans on the edge of their seats. We all know that Taker is a company man, and I am pretty sure he would be willing to take the send off from Cena. Plus, is it evident that Vince wants Cena to be this generations version of Hogan. It could be like WM 3 all over again. Hulk was growing to be the biggest name in professional wrestling. At the same time, Andre was billed as undefeated. Could we get the same "passing the torch" moment out of Undertaker vs. Cena ?

STOP GIVING THEM IDEAS. Honestly though, if Taker doesn't retire at Survivor Series, he and Cena might have a good match. I'd rather see him leave with his head held high and knees fairly intact, though.

I think that's something that definitely could happen, but if somebody is going to end the Undertaker's streak, why not have it be somebody who would really, really benefit from it? For me, it would be a waste for Cena to end the streak.

Taker's gotta be shooting for 20-0 and then retirement.
...and, yes, Cena HAS to be one of his (maybe) two remaining Mania opponents.

After Shawn losing this year, the streak should never end.
Shawn should be the guy who got the closest.

I have a feeling he's going 20-0 to retire on, and they're saving Cena for last. There's no conceivable way that Cena isn't this generation's Hulk Hogan, everyone pretty much buys it. Ending Taker's streak does...what for him? He's already at that level.
I have a feeling someone like Sheamus or Jericho will be for WM 27.

Are you saying it would be a waste because you think Cena is already over enough ? Back in 1987, Hogan was already over, yet he was still the guy to defeat Andre clean.

On one hand, I don't want the streak to end. I kind of want him to go 20-0 and retire. On the other I want him to use it to propel a younger star to the moon.

The Underfaker the Second, only to reveal that the Underfaker was a previous vitctim . . .HBK! He never appears on tv after tomorrow. Faker wins, and then after it is revealed HBK was the Faker. Perfect swerve!!

The Streak just seems like something above Cena though, about all the money and titles. It's bigger than that, and I don't think Vince or Taker would waste on someone like Cena, who already has "Andre" moments at Mania already.

Taker vs. Cena should be at Wrestlemania 28 and Taker should go 20 - 0. Next year? I dunno, maybe RVD if they can get him back as he is undefeated at mania. It would be cool seeing the Whole F'n Show at Wrestlemania again, especially after that horrible TNA debut. It's a big shame that RVD and Michaels never had a mania match.

I'd go Triple H/Taker for 19-0. Setup: Trips wants a second chance like Shawn, Trips will be a full blown heel.
Then 20-0, Taker vs. Cena, it's the last big match left as of now, maybe WWE will create a big star in the next 2 years, but as of now Cena/Taker should be 20-0 and Taker's last match.

I really doubt Cena would even agree to go over the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Not just out of respect for Taker, but because the heat he would draw for ending the steak would be MASSIVE.
But I do endorse the idea of a match between these two at WM. But Cena would never win.

I think Undertaker is gonna get a break next year, as in he'll face someone he''ll beat easily just to pad the stats, like Kane at 20, and Henry at 22. I'm thinking Sheamus

They should bring in Sting, give him a great run and the World title and then have him face Taker at next year's mania. It would be beyond huge.

If that's the thinking....and Cena IS one of the last two....who is next year's victim? I mean, the only way you're going to get a tenth of the emotion is to get someone with an outside shot at it. NONE of the younger guys, including Sheamus, is anything OTHER than the next victim. Of the older guys...only maybe HHH or Jericho could lay claim to being able to create that sort of tension with them possibly winning.

Taker's got plenty of options left, though I do want to see Cena one of these years. Still, got Jericho, Punk, Sheamus, Cena, and possibly Miz or Swagger as possible options, and that's not getting into repeats like Big Show.
Really, I want a Taker / Miz feud just for Miz to snark, "You're not enough for me," at some point.
