Just for the record, one of the reasons there aren't that many matches from the 90s is because they included the Iron Man Match in its entirety.
The way the set is set up is Disc 1 goes from 1963-1989, Disc 2 is 1990-1999, and Disc 3 is 2000-2006.
Disc 2 is over 3 hours alone with just that small number of matches

I wish they would have left out the Iron Man match, or at leat shown the last 10 minutes.

Then they should have taken matches out from 2000-2005. The Cena match has no business being on there.

I heard the whole Hogan/Andre match isn't shown. Is that true?

Seemed like the whole match to me but I also skipped over it because I literally just watched Wrestlemania 3 about an hour before I started watching this DVD

Yes..having the Cena Vengeance squash of Christian over a Flair/Savage match from WM 8 was HORRIBLE decision making.

I'm probably going to buy the dvd anyways just for the timeline, but I am extreamly disapointed in what they put together.

it seems as if they wanted to forget '91-'93 ever happened. Savage/Flair and a Yokozuna match should be on this. I bought it yesterday and watched the first 3 matches. It was an interesting history lesson, but I can't figure out how the Killer Kowalski match made this DVD. It was all kinds of awful and ended in a double DQ. I know the WWE let fans vote for these matches, but they needed to take some creative control here.

i'm nearly through Disc 1. haven't watched the Macho Man match yet.
i say...
WHAT THE INTERCOURSE!!
they've got the Andre-Hogan match where Andre wins and hands the belt over to the Million Dollar Man. correct me if i'm wrong here, but wasn't that the match with the evil Earl Hebner? well, they don't show that bit. they cut away back to JR.
and speaking of JR, he does the most insipid commentary over the first match, Pedro Morales v. Ivan Koloff. which is not a bad early 70's match, actually.
the JR commentary is pretty awful throughout. half kayfabe and half documentary. meh.
and yes. the Bruno v. Killer Kowalski match is 100% pure excrement. it's 50's wrestling vs 60s wrestling in 1975 or so.
they join Superstar Graham v. Backlund in progress. the Superstar wuz robbed, i tell ya! it's got the Superstar v Sammartino match that's on the SSBG DVD. a good match.
i doubt if i'll be keeping this DVD after i've seen it. if any of you crappers are interested, shoot me a pm. it could be yours for a tenner.

That's what I meant when I heard that we didn't get the full Hogan/Andre match. How can you cut out the double referee bit? That was the whole crux of that storyline.

How is the interactive timeline? What annoys me about this set is not just repeating the same matches but the fact that the decade of the 90s, which produced the best WWF Championship matches in the history of the company is practically ignored. 1998-1999 were the peak years of the Attitude Era and there's only one match from that time on the set. The Rock and Foley had a great feud where they exchanged the WWF Championship five times and wrestled in at least three classic matches and the feud is not representated at all. Hart, Michaels, Austin, Rock, and Foley provided the WWF Championship with its greatest matches. QFT. I personally believe the only reason more matches from this awesome time period were left out is because maybe they gave the WWF Attitude logo-blurrer they week off.

I'm surprised the Lesnar/Angle IronMan match from Smackdown 2003 wasn't put on the DVD, pretty damn good encounter.
And I have most of the matches already, so there's no need for me to buy it. I'll just wait for the Pillman and Piper DVD's to come out,a better buy.

Lesnar/Angle? Had too many falls with Lesnar getting DQ'd or winning by chairshots. Then there's that HORRIBLE stalling to kick the match off for 10 minutes. Not a top 3 Iron Man WWE match at all but neither is Shawn/Bret in truth.

I was never a fan of the Bret/Shawn Iron Man match. It's too slow in a lot of parts. Angle/Lesnar wasn't perfect either (with Lesnar picking up some cheap falls) but I wouldn't have minded seeing that or HHH/Rock on the set.

but why spend $20-$30 on the SAME matches over and over? It's a fools game. Cuz it beats the hell out of paying $50 to watch a lukewarm PPV only once, that's fo sho. I would rather pay $7 a month and just watch WWE 24/7. Considering I get to see WWE, AWA, WCW, & ECW on that network. The old Nitros and Raws are awesome. And the sad thing is this DVD will be on there in a month or two and I can Record it and burn it ot DVD for free. Oh and for the PPV's save yourself the $50.... get 12 bucks and head down to your local Buffalo Wild Wings... watch the PPV get some wings (go for the Carabean Jerk Sause) and a beer. But be sure to get there about an hour before show time so your sure to get seated. On a side note: The reason Cena's Squash over Christian is on there is because Vinny Mac is petty and figures this is on way to stick it to the now TNA Star.
