Specifically Jim Ross.
Swagger needs something to make him stand out. He lost on Monday to Orton and it looks as if they are painting him out to be undeserving of the belt. I hope that if it is the route they go, that Swagger blames everyone's opinion on the fact that nobody believes in him and hypes how good he really is so he found someone to do it for him. Jim Ross. Jim could be the announcer for Swagger's matches and Swagger's matches only. Hyping his amateur status and all that while Striker and Grisham call the match. Ross could say how he has seen the potential in Swagger for years. How he discovered Swagger. How Oklahoma breeds better athletes. It could be a heel-esque turn for Ross, would get Swagger more attention (he would have his own personal announcer), would get Ross on TV too without costing the younger guys spots to develop a voice so they one day can be considered in the same light that Ross is.

If Jim was willing to go on the road in that sort of role. Otherwise, I'd just have JR cut a few pre-recorded promos on the fact and see if Swagger can run with any heat that might give him.

Swagger needs something to make him stand out. Yes, he does. Because right now, he's just SERIOUS BORING HEEL Chris Jericho, but with a lisp. Here's how to help make him stand out: Let him talk loud and in a braying, jackass heel way, lisp and all (that gives the babyfaces something to make fun of). Let him flash his huge, toothy grin, which is one of his biggest assets when the camera gets in close to him. And make his entrance even flasher and over-the-top pompous, to have him not only do the push-ups but have a bunch of 40-year-old men dressed as collegiate wrestling coaches (with polo shirts, logo-ed baseball caps, and whistles around their necks) spotting him as he does his push-ups, and acting as his entourage when he enters. Grinning, full-of-himself, jackass jock gimmick with a ridiculous, over-the-top entrance and red-white-and-blue ring gear will help him stand out from the rest of the locker room just fine.

Hell, even let him go back to expanding "All-American American" to include as many damned "American"s as he wants (like he did in the promo with John Cena a couple drafts ago...)

Ross would be perfect. I know people didn't like his heel turn in the late 90s but I thought his pairing with Dr. Death was awesome. He would make a great manager/announcer for Swagger. That and I want to see cole get beat up by Swagger for taking Ross's spot again.

No, he doesn't need anything new, no new finisher, submission, song, anything...quit trying to change the guy.

I was thinking more like... I never thought I'd say this about Abe, but that actually's not a bad idea. Washington as the professional announcer/hype guy saying that Swagger's going to outwrestle everybody and he's the more American than 300 apple pies... That would be awesome.

I would like to see Washington come up to the main roster as a manager but I'd rather see them pair him with someone like David Otunga. Their gimmicks just seem like they would mesh together more. Either that or I'd push Chris Masters as a heel again and give him Washington as a mouth piece because I've never been very impressed with Master's mic work but he has gotten better in the ring. I also think that Washington in a Don King type of role as the manager and promoter of Michael Tarver would be pretty awesome too.

One thing that I think would work with JR better than Abe is that JR does have a personal connection to Swagger. I believe Swagger was the last signing JR made as a head of talent relations. They both are from the same state. And plus, having someone like JR throw their support behind Swagger could legitimize him.
JR could say that for the first time in a long time, he is happy with being a professional wrestling announcer, it has reignited his faith in the future of the business, no disrespect to other superstars but there is a difference between being an entertainer and a wrestler. John Cena is an entertainer, and a damn good one who can hold his own in the ring but this business was built upon the backs of athletes and Jack Swagger is the consummate athlete. JR has called matches for Flair, Steamboat, Michaels, etc. and Swagger is as good as those guys and time will tell if he could be even better. He has the amateur credentials, the size, the looks, he is in all honesty the total package and the only thing he is lacking is the support of someone with influence. JR would be that guy. Todd and Matt don't know what greatness looks like because their announcing careers have only reached the infancy, sure they can tell the guys who are big now but JR is time tested and he can tell guys who will stick around for the future, Jack Swagger is one of those guys.

If that's John Tolos, who played Mr. Perfect's Coach, he passed away last year.

He needs an old-fashioned hype man, in a star-spangled suit and boater, with a cane, and a whole bucket of ballyhoo...
"Yowsah yowsah! Roll up to see the All-American American, the sensation of the Midway, the Stanislaus Zbyszko of the 2010s, the man who put the "man" in "manhandle", the prince of the panhandle, the dude who's too hard to handle and too cold to hold, The Sooner you'd sooner see, and soon to be, the greatest star in history, the Swagger who'll make you stagger, the blue chip super hip guy with all the zip... JAAAACK SAH-WAGGGGGGAH!"

I wouldn't be adverse to them rehiring Daivari even if it was for that, alone. He was a pretty good manager.

He needs a couple Hype Men, IMO.
I love the suggestions of Abraham Washington. Daivari. Anyone really. I can't recall a wrestler I felt needed a Manager so badly as does Jack Swagger.

If Abraham Washington manages Thwaggah, Tony Atlas should be assistant (to the) manager.

Think he'd be perfect for the role. Just too bad I don't see him back in WWE anytime soon.
