So I'm watching SmackDown and at least 2 times during the Punk segment, CM Punk chants quickly turn into "You Suck" chants that are obviously piped in.
Goldberg aside, what other instances are chants clearly piped in?

I saw a great video on Dailymotion where someone edited together 10-12 clips from SmackDown eps in 2007 where the EXACT same 'crowd pop' sound effect was used during backstage segments. It had a really distinctive-sounding girl's scream in it so you could tell it was the same prerecorded crowd noise used week after week.

On the same show the OP is refering to, Drew McIntyre's heat is piped in. Look at the crowd. They wern't doing anything, however he managed to get heat.

Any time Sheamus gets heat. Not every time. Went to the Smackdown Los Angeles tapings and when Sheamus made his entrance for the dark match he was getting booed almost as much as Jericho.

I think piping stuff in on Raw is a lot harder to do since people in the arena would notice it a lot more and we'd hear about it in live reports. Sheamus is actually generating heat, much to his credit.

I think that's why I've never really watched Smackdown as much as Raw. In a strange way I almost prefer the eerie silence of an average Raw crowd.

The "seagull pop" has got to be at least eleven years old now - it's been used on Smackdown since the first episode and I wouldn't be surprised if it turned up in a taped Raw or two. A documentary should really be made on it, tracing the source and all that. What I'd like to know is if it's even made by humans.

WWE should take the time to record new crowd audio loops.

I remember a Smackdown a couple years ago, where Michelle McCool's(back when she was a face)song played & she got a HUUUGE pop, clearly piped in.

It's becoming like the Wilheim Scream, it's that pervasive.

I don't know, it seemed like a lot of it was going on on Smackdown, though maybe it was just a hot crowd.
Of course, in cases like this, people will just pick and choose who's heat was real and who's wasn't based off if they like them or not.

Watching Smackdown, it seems like there's a lot of piped in cheers/boos etc. I was watching last night...and there were loud reactions yet the crowd was just sitting on their hands. Anyways...wasn't there a string of ppv's a few years ago when the Cena hatred was at an all time high that rumors were going around of piped in cheers?

The show that's the worst offender for canned reactions is Superstars. I still remember an old Cryme Tyme/Hart Dynasty six person tag when Eve got the hot tag in towards the match and ran in on Nattie, and the crowd gave a reaction louder than any main eventer from any one of the other three shows that week got. I mean...really? Really? Really?
Although on Smackdown it's starting to get pretty bad too. Raw might be the worst show, but at least its crowd reactions are real.

How about last year when Randy Orton attacked Dusty Rhodes and fans were legitimately cheering for Cody, then the AM Raw replay dubbed it with Cena chants?

That seagull fan reaction is hilarious. It's so blatantly obvious now to me when they put that in, rather than it being a genuine fan reaction.
NXT this week had huge fan reaction editing during the keg segment. Sounded like it was taking place in a 100,000 person arena.
