I think the musculature look of it makes it more badass looking, in all honesty.
Imagine that musculature look on someone like Kilowog. Would make him look even more badass than he already is.

Honestly. If Reynolds was given the choice to either play Deadpool or Lantern I think he would pick Lantern and honestly I would make the same choice.
I like Deadpool but there's way more franchise potential with GL.

Sure but I'm also guessing he's been wanting to break out of that in some way and show his range.

I don't mind it. The face mask is the only dodgy part of it.
I don't mind the CG look of the costume because GL costumes are generated by the rings - CGI rather appropriately simulates that IMO.

I like it. It's pretty faithful, and I'm sure in the right lighting/in motion it'll look even better.

The more I look at that picture, the more I swear...I see veins on his arms, too.
Dear god, they're not making GL...they're making Slim Goodbody: The Movie!

He's taken BOTH roles. He's going to be Deadpool AND Green Lantern. Check my first post. I just said that if he HAD to choose I bet he would've chosen Lantern. Doubtful. He loves Deadpool so much that he filmed his scenes for X-Men: Origins on his days off from shooting The Proposal, because he refused to let someone else play Wade. Anyway, I do not like the GL suit. I do like that they're using the classic logo, but I hate the weird musculature design. Also, how boring is it that his entire body is green? There needs to be some black on the costume as well. Big thumbs down.

I have absolutely zero familiarity with Green Lantern, so I'm not comparing it to any other look. It is a cool design. but the real test will be to see it in motion, not as a magazine cover mock-up.

DC are hoping to hell this is successful that's for sure. They've not had much success with anything not called Batman or Superman, and Marvel are already launching the Avengers franchise.
DC is certainly playing catch up and frankly, a massive CGI sci fi film like this may not have been the best bet to start with however much as a fan boy I cant wait to see it.
I think I'd have done Flash before Green Lantern. And obviously wouldn't have cast Ryan Reynolds as Hal. He just doesn't look right to me.

I always liked Flash from the JL cartoon, the wisecracking guy who seems a little out of his element, but comfortable with who he is. Seems better fit to Reynolds. But he can pull off Hal's cockiness very well too.

I can't see Ryan doing Deadpool and Green Latern. I doubt the studios would allow it.

It isn't that I don't see Ryan as a Green Lantern, it is that I don't see him as Hal. He could be Kyle or Guy easily. He'd also make a good Wally West.
