I think it may, and this is really streetching it, MAY cause a constant frequency in your ear so much that it could mess with your inner ear and throw you off balance.
That's the only way I can see you actually getting "high" from this.

I don't understand...how does something like that do anything to you? It doesn't. Yeah, really. If music like this actually had any sort of effect, a whole lot of clubs would've replaced all their EDM with it ages ago. Dumb kids saying they can get high from buzzing sounds? Then why did nobody at the World Cup collapse out of their seats?

Every person that took part in this story needs to have I'm a gullible clueless moron tattooed onto their foreheads.
Even if this did work (I haven't tried it but I can almost 100% say it doesn't) whats the harm? You can't OD. And don't even get me started on the gateway BS. Yeah outraged middle America, I'm sure that kid who tries this FREE LEGAL HIGH is going to go out immediately find a dealer, and drop 60 bucks for a oz. of coke. Who in their right mind would do that if they already have a FREE LEGAL HIGH.

I can get a 20 oz bottle from the store for just about a dollar. Leave me alone, I thought it was funny!

If that's real, that's terrifying.
But... Sounds like bullshit on all levels.

Your right after some quick research its more like 175$ for a gram. There are about 28 grams in an oz soooo... 4,900 an oz.

If that's real, that's terrifying. But... Sounds like bulls*** on all levels. Quick question, why is it terrifying? Getting high is just another way for a person to alter the chemicals in their brain so that they feel good. People do all kinds of things to feel good like eating, working out, or masturbating. If this were real it seems as though it would be a great alternative to pretty much every drug out there including the legal ones like alcohol and tobacco.

Yeah, I heard about this a few months ago. I don't do drugs, but of course, I had to try this, since I got a humongous laugh out of the idea. I tried a few, including Gate of Hades, which was pretty darn freaky after having "taken" two before that. Then again, I love getting freaked out and made to feel uneasy with horror movies or things like that in general, so it's obviously more of my own paranoia and mind working against me than the i-doser itself. (I'm the type that finds the Wyoming Incident and stuff like that enormously freaky and "scary" from a thrill-seeking standpoint.) After a couple of minutes into Gate of Hades, I said "eeeeeeff that" and shut it off. But yeah, it's pretty much a joke to anyone who *wants* to be skeptical about it. And for those that want to get freaked out, they'll get freaked out. And for those that want to "get high" off of it, I'm sure they'll make themselves feel "high." (Especially kids--they're such impressionable little idiots sometimes.)

Wanted to try it, but my headphones were too big to swallow.
Stories like this make me want to slam my already battered head into a wall. Complete nonsense.

They work for some, maybe about 30% of people. It's to do with the cadence between the two notes and the white noise in between. And they take about an hour to work.
Of course, for people like myself with perfect pitch, it's actually painful to listen to because the two notes are nearly never a "proper" cadence.
Yeah I tried it. The one that didn't feel like someone sticking a needle in my ear actually worked, but nowhere near as well as the actual thing.
