I havent seen it in years. All i remember is DDP beating the king (or whatever his name was), David Arquette running after a van wearing noting but a WCW/NWO blanket and the triple cage.
And now i want to watch this movie again.

If you plunk down a few bucks at Blockbuster to listen to the DVD commentary, it's actually entertaining and funnier than the actual movie. David Arquette has to explain what was going on at WCW at the time and which wrestlers are in the scenes, etc. David IS a total mark for wrestling and I mean that in the best way possible.

It was okay, kinda funny. I loved (and by loved, I mean it was stupid) how Sting just kinda flew into the bottom cage on his rope at the end, somehow. Oh and how they couldnt really decide what was real and fake...

I went to the theater with my friend who was a huge Goldberg MARK. When Goldberg came on screen he proceded to stand up and scream at the top of his lungs like a little girl. MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT EVER!
I did purchase this on DVD for $15 on release just so I can watch Sting, The Franchise of WCW Punch David Arquette in the face.

This movie inspired the worst angle in WCW: David Arquette, WCW champion. No wonder people were tuning to the WWF. The best part is that Arquette didn't want to do the angle with him as champion, because he knew how much credibility (what little WCW had left after the departures of Jericho, Guerrero, Malenko, Saturn, and Benoit and the infamous Fingerpoke of Doom title change) the company would lose. Forget Jamie Kellner, this angle is what killed WCW (speaking of which, I might do a Top 5 reasons You Can't Blame...Jamie Kellner for the death of WCW).
Give Arquette credit, though, for giving the money he earned from that angle to Owen Hart and Brian Pillman's families.

Having to watch (not necessarily enjoy) Ready to Rumble should be required viewing for posting on this site.
