If his job in WWE was so important to him, why didn't he just go to rehab like they wanted? He just doesn't want to stop. He wants to be on the road wrestling like always.

If his job in WWE was so important to him, why didn't he just go to rehab like they wanted? It's not WWE necessarily, but just wrestling in general that matters to him. Unfortunately, the drugs may be even more important to him at this point. I figure the whole scene at WWE HQ might have to do with WWE not letting him out of the 90 day no-compete dealyabob. Lord knows Kurt will do anything to go back to the ring ASAP. He can't help himself, it seems.

It's very unsettling to hear this stuff about your current favorite wrestler.
Someone give Kurt a hug.

First off... parts of this post could be considered offensive and morbid... this is not my intention, just my view of things. If the mods don't like it, feel free to delete it...
However, if the "death watch" rumor around November was true, I think it's fairly obvious that it was Kurt Angle what with all the random "time-off" he's been given. The WWE has done everything they can to help him and now they had to get rid of him. First, to insure that he has no job to prematurely come back from.. and Second, to get rid of all liability if the unfortunate should occur.
Now, Kurt Angle has given a LOT to the WWE and the fans.... Goofy Kurt still cracks me up, and he's no doubt a hall of famer and one of the best there has ever been. However, if he has one brain cell left in his body, he'll take this time off and do some good with it. This means, no TNA, no New Japan, no other organizations at LEAST until he has his life and body sorted out.
This may never happen, and that's a real possibility that, if Kurt does the right thing. We may have seen the last of him for good. Yes, that sucks. But I'd rather have an alive, retired Kurt Angle than another corpse who just didn't listen to his body.
Unfortunately... given his "desire to be the best".... there is a chance he could show up in TNA way before he should be doing anything. If so.... it'll be hard to deny the person he was. But the person who would do that.... to take their life and just toss it away basically saying "Gosh, I hope I die horribly and paifnully...and SOON too!".... I just don't know if that's someone I can muster up a lot of sympathy for.
It's a case where his Intensity is costing both his Integrity as well as his Intelligence..... it's true... it's damn true.

You don't have to look like Chris Masters to be on steroids
often steroids are given to guys with as many injuries as kurt, and all that with the pain killers
that's a big misconception about roids

Truth be told, I agree with the post about Angle and steroids. I mean, Angle has always been muscular, what Olympic athlete wouldn't be? But in the past year, he has gotten almost freakishly huge. And anyone who has read his comments on his last match in ECW knows he got pretty badly beaten up during the show. I honestly believe he has become injury prone because he has simply gotten too huge and muscular for his frame to support, which inevitably leads to being injury prone. I've long suspected Kurt took steroids to help heal his neck and various other injuries, and simply got hooked. And his emotional distress could be attributed in part to roid rage. If this is the case, it is one more reason the man should get himself cleaned up. God speed, Kurt.

You know, this whole Kurt Angle being released could be a work. If not, then I hope Kurt gets some help. I don't want to read about another wrestler dying before his time.

I'm sure I'm misremembering most of this, but didn't Kurt Angle's dad suffer a major blow to the head in a construction accident, proceed to walk some miles to the hospital, before collapsing dead.
That's the example he's trying to live up to. That's why he wrestle's with a broken freakin' neck.

I think it's a work/shoot. That seems to be the WWE style these days. I think Kurt wanted a break but they're making an angle out of it.
