which do you folks think the golden era of cereal took place, and when do you think the quality of cereals went downhill? Had to be late 70's to 1986. Lots of good cereal mascots, movie/pop culture themed cereals, cool freebies, and memorable tv advertisements. The late 80's brought the cereals adding "new & improved" flavors / colors/ shapes / etc, and it just wasn't the same. That and Boo Berry was taken off the Monster cereals commercials, taken off most shelves, and put on the endangered cereal mascot list.

Where is The Great RootBeer Bear? Where is Geoffrey the giraffe? these all need to come back, there is a market, and a lot of Kids will think its all new

Bring back my Pac-Man cereal damn it! That was one of my first memories, eating a cereal where the marshmallows actually looked the same way in the bowl as they did on the box! And so what if I'm not 100% sober right now!

I loved the late 80's-early 90's cartoon/movie cereals that were all basically the same. Sugary Chex like pieces and marshmallows. If I remember right... TMNT, Spider-Man and Bill & Ted's were all the same.
Somewhere, I still got my Bill & Ted's phone booth-esque cassette tape holder (it held like two or three, I think). We got a box of it at my house and my three siblings and I were fighting over it. My grandfather ended up running to the store later that day and buying three more boxes, just so we'd stop.

Malt O Meal needs to make a Boo-Berry clone if they don't have one already, and if they do have one, my local grocery store needs to start carrying it pronto.

Smurf cereal was surprisingly good too.
And since I'm on these particular boards, I should clarify that I'm not referring to F-bomb cereal.

So I conned my kid sister into trading hers for mine by pretending it was really cool and would be easy to tell apart.
