Oh man, even without seeing the video I totally remember that match!
I think Busick and Whippleman had been harassing Mike McGuirk for a few weeks prior to that, and this was basically the blow-off - and come to think of it, the last time I really ever saw Busick on WWF TV.

I'd seriously mark out if WWE redid this with Umaga, Estrada and Lillian... and then Sid came out.

I'd simply mark if he came back to WWE at all. I'd LOVE that. I'd love him to powerbomb John Cena through the ring.
You seen him in ECW? He was OVER, man! The pops he got were immense.

I do to. Remember, a lot of heels were talking crap, I think the Mountie was another one. Then, all of a sudden, Sid's music would play and it would come down to the ring and kick ass. Sid was so ridiculously over. I mean he had "it". If he had kept his head on straight he could have done a great job replacing Hogan.

I miss the Bully, I hope he gets inducted soon. I think he has been inducted. RD should repost that. How villianous is it to pop a little kid's balloon while walking to the ring?

Apparently Sid is scheduled to do some shows in late July. Two on the same day... one for MXPW in Florida and one for PWU (Tod Gordon's new fed) in Philly against Too Cold Scorpio. I just really hope he doesn't screw around and no-show one of them.

Bully had like 2 matches against jobbers, and this squash against Sid. He was supposed to be on Col. Mustafa's Survivor Series team, but was replaced by Hercules once he left. Meanwhile, interesting to see Sid jump onto the apron a la Lashley at the beginning, and weird how Whippleman would become his manager mere months after this.

Awesome chokeslam.
Sid wasn't that great of a wrestler, but it didn't matter a whole lot. Wasn't really any worse than a lot of the other biggest names in wrestling.
What hell is with Bully's mustache? Is that thing real?

Bully's mustache vs. Sid's mullet vs. Mike McGuirk's hair.
Book it.

I couldn't believe, as I watched that match, how much stuff was so familiar.
Sid's shoulder tackle in the corner, "She is, isn't she?!" from Heenan, Busick twitching on the mat, raising his arm to Whippleman (who, months later, would be his manager).....
I haven't seen that match in 15 years, yet it's like I only watched it a few weeks ago and remember all the motions.
