Another random observation I forgot to mention. When Rick Martel's theme is playing there are 3 very loud beeps that sound. I noticed this when I first watched it 16 years ago and the beeps are on the Wrestlemania Anthology boxset too.

They should've had the Rockers beat Power & Glory in the opener as payback for Summerslam and Survivor Series. Then have LOD beat Demolition with the stipulation that the losing team disbands forever. That would send Demolition off and blow off the feud. Finally, have Tenryu & Kitao get their 15 minutes over Barbarian & Haku in the throwaway match. This booking would have been brilliant.

I like all of wrestlemania 7
But most of it seemed rushed, a few of the matches went under the 5 minute nark

I didn't have a problem with the Warrior/Savage finish either, except kicking out of 5 elbow drops. One or two sure, but FIVE? Could be worse. It could have completely revitalized Warrior like it did to Hogan in WCW. The blindfold match was cool just for some great Monsoon/Heenan commentary, as well as some very good comedy work by Martel.

I liked the main event, pretty good Hogan match with Hulk pullling things out early on that he didn't do much What, like a drop toe hold or a hip toss?

At what point did they move the venue? I recently got a tape of RR91 and they were still selling tix to the original location.

Watch the blindfold match closely near the beginning. Whent he ref puts the blindfold on Roberts and ties it, Roberts puts his hand up underneath the blindfold to wipe his face or something. You can see his whole hand through the blindfold clear as day.

Wrestlemania 7 may be the saddest PPV ever just looking at the card and realizing that half the people are dead now Von Erich vs Bravo and Bossman vs Hennig are the hardest to watch Watch Survivor Series 1988 then. One team consists of Harley Race, Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, Dino Bravo and Andre. I bet Harley's worried. Harley is the sole survivor!

I liked the main event, pretty good Hogan match with Hulk pullling things out early on that he didn't do much Yeah, it's nothing like the two main events that came before it, but it's still a somewhat underrated match.

Every time I watch WM7, all I can think to myself is "Why is Snuka wearing boots?"

I really enjoyed the main event, as I think its very underrated. Despite the war being over for months, Slaughter was way over as the heel. Plus Hogan bladed, which I don't recall happening that much back then. When Hogan is laid out and they cover him with the Iraqi flag, and Hogan Hulks up and rips the flag, that's an awesome moment.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned one of the biggest bloopers in Wrestlemania history. When Howard Finkel announces Alex Trebek as the "co-host" of Jeopardy. Maybe Sean Connery paid off the Fink to do that.

A poster asked why Sensational Queen Sherri seemed to do such an abrupt about face on Savage, when they miss the main point of her actions:
It wasn't to show that she was turning on Savage (although she did) and remain a heel manager, but that Savage was turning face (which he also did moments later, in that touching moment with Liz) to revitalize his career. Here's why: Up to Wrestlemania, it was fairly easy to see that the "Macho King" gimmick was losing steam by the day, and that the "bloom" was quickly coming off the "rose" so to speak. Vince made the very wise decision to turn Savage face thereafter to try to regain some of the fan base he'd lost by staying in the "Macho King" gimmick for far too long. Also, Warrior was quickly wearing out his welcome with Vince and company (and after Summerslam wouldn't be seen again for almost a year) and thus another face was needed to balance the "scales" between heels and babyfaces. It was a move that ultimately turned out to be both good and bad. Only in the WWF/E, I guess...

During the Savage/Warrior match, when Savage throws his shirt at the Warrior it goes flying into the crowd and a fan catches it. Sherri points at him and yells something and one of those dick security guards walks over and snatches it away from the fan before the poor guy knows what's going on, without explaining anything. That always pissed me off. Those smug security guards.

You can see his whole hand through the blindfold clear as day. I do remember a thin band of dark mesh over the eyes. Made them look like generic Machines.

Why do people think the blindfold match was crap? The crowd was into it, it was something different. Plus Martel was nothing short of hilarious throughout.

I liked this WrestleMania. My dad was serving in Iraq at the time, so kayfabe was still alive for me. Demolition jobbing made me sick. I agree with skskillz, the introduction of Crush killed Demolition. Crush was like Blayze Bayley in Iron Maiden, or John Corabi in Motley Crue; similar, but not as good as the original. I agree that Power & Glory shouldn't have been jobbed out. Oh, and Boss Man should've been the new IC Champ!

They had wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much build-up for that Perfect/Bossman match to end in a messy ending. One of them should have won it squarely either way... Oh well..
Also, I feel like the Hogan/Slaughter match WAS gold because of its buildup as well... There were a bunch of great buildups in this Wrestlemania... slaughter burning the flag... destroying jobbers... Hangin' out w/ Saddam... incredible heel heat and the most popular wrestler ever... great main event...

Could it be that WWF all ready had Bret Hart penciiled into be the guy to beat Perfect? Because then the ending kind of makes since. I think had their been either a mid summer ppv or a SNME back then Bossman would have won the belt and had a quick reign before jobbing it to Perfect so he could job it to Hart.
