Best bet: Stick with the "tortured soul/broken heart" thing. Hardy's claims that the whole marriage was a "storyline" (another kayfabe punch in the face to the nine people that still think it's all real) is just another reason for Kane to feel played and want revenge. With HArdy gone to Smackdown, Edge is the obvious target.
Whatever happens, let's get that briefcase out of Edge's hands and put it on Kane for crying out loud.

Kane needs to come back in full Big Red Machine mode and do to Edge what HHH did to Flair....just absolutely MURDER Edge.
I've had enough of the whinging, mincing sad sack Kane....bring back the monster for REAL. It's really pathetic when Abyss plays the role of Kane better than Glen Jacobs...

The logical story would be after Hardy said all the things he did, Kane realized that he was no longer keeping a good focus on things. His character has always been someone deficient in social skills, so not realizing that Lita was playing him by going home to Matt every night isn't that far-fetched. Kane did some soul-searching and accepted some outside projects like movie roles and such. Glenn Jacobs is an intelligent man, maybe they can use this time off to slightly reinvent the Kane character.
Then again, this is the WWE we are talking about. Logic has no place in storylines.

It is revealed that when Kane burned JR, JR really died and him announcing after that was a ghost in our souls. But Vinnie Mac ripped out that ghost because he claims he is god and can do anything. He brings back Kane from jail to replace JR. The end.  |
