Tony Schiavone: "GOLDBERG JUST LEAPED THE RAIL AND SPEARED THAT NINE-YEAR OLD BOY! AND HE'S GONNA JACKHAMMER THE BOY'S FATHER! THAT MAKES HIM 146-0! WHO CAN DEFEAT HIM? THIS IS THE GREATEST NIGHT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT!"

Because he always forgot where the entrance ramp was. I think Jericho needed it more then.

I think Jericho needed it more then
Even though it did not happen till he Goldberg came to the WWE there was a reported backstage incident that showed Goldberg needed protection from Jericho. The story is that Goldberg arrived in the WWE and his ego was huge. Now if you remember back to the WCW days Jericho wanted a feud with Goldberg which Goldberg suposedly siad no to because jericho was just to small of a wrestler to be realistic threat to him. So Goldberg comes to the WWE, and says something like I want some"big "competion here. All the big names of the period are mentioned to him and eventully Jericho is mentioned. Goldberg reacted by saying something like Jerichio is still too small for me, he was in WCW and he is here. This got back to Jericho somehow and he was not happy. So one night when Goldberg was by himself backstage Jericho got in Golbergs face about the comment. Goldberg said what are you gonna do about it. Jericho then put Goldberg in a simple but painfull hold of some sort he learned from Stu Hart. Goldberg could not break the hold(no surprise there) and finally apologized for the comment and after a few painfull miniutes. that was the last time you heard anything about Chris Jerichio from goldberg in his entire WWE run. This story may be one of those "urban legend"backstage stories type things that is totally untrue, but I have heard it from usually reliable sources. besides that I want this sorty to be true even if it is not. The thought of Goldberg being put in his place by Jerichio is priceless.
