Did he ever come back from his honeymoon?
What was his story... any help would be appreciated.

Sean Mooney currently works for Fox Sports in Arizona, he also owns his own company called Moonrise productions. I believe he covers football mostly. I actually didn't mind Sean Mooney for some reason.

I don't think he did. Apparently, he doesn't even put his WWF stuff on his resume. I think Heenan said this is in his book.

Did he ever come back from his honeymoon? Wait, did they explain him going away from the WWF as going on his honeymoon?! He used to anchor the 5pm news on a CBS station here in Boston for about a year. Then he just went away. Which is weird, since anchors in this area tend to move around the Boston market - but he just came out of nowhere and then vanished to do news in other parts of the country.

I always liked Mooney. I never quite understood why everyone hated him so much, ok his commentary was awful, but he was good at hosting the event centre. People seem to heap praise on Lord Alfred a lot more and he was crap.

But I liked Monney a lot too, he really seemed like a professional sportscaster and dignified out sport I thought.

I actually didn't mind Sean Mooney for some reason. He is embetted with the Arizona Wildcats. As a Cat fan, I'm use to seeing Mr. Mooney chatting it up with Lute Olson before halftime. He is the sideline reporter for the Dave Sitton/ Bob Elliot crew. I believe he is in business with Sitton, who is a big advertising guy in Tucson. He also host the Runnin' with the Cats show. He's been there for at least 3 or 4 yrs. He lives in Tucson and can be seen on campus at Arizona alot. I met him once. He was a good guy unlike former Tucson sportscaster Todd Grisham. He thought he was a big crap in town because he was the wachy sports guy with all the crazy nicknames. I shared some mutuel friends with Todd. He's not King approved! Tucson: where WWF/WWE announcers are grown then put out to pasture. Also, Mooney has alot of high powered friends in Tucson like Olson and Sitton. During football games he's not covering, he has some pretty expensive seats alongside Lute and Lute's wife.

I never minded Mooney. He just did his job and didn't make an effort to try to be wacky. I'd take him over Pettengill and Grisham any day.

I remember on either WWF Superstars or Challange Mooney would host the show w/ Queen Sherri. I remember it being such a clash of style w/ Mooney in his dignified tie and business suit dscussing up coming wrestling events as if the Pope was coming. Then there was Sherri w/ her glittery make up and that golden chair that seems to turn up every time there's a "king" gimmick every 8 years or so.

I thought Mooney was fine at what he did, plus he never seemed to wink at the camera and admit what he was doing was stupid and absurd. Rather he was a total pro and just did his job each week

I don't think he did. Apparently, he doesn't even put his WWF stuff on his resume. I think Heenan said this is in his book. I heard that in his resume he list those years as having worked for "Titan Sports".

Todd Pettengill was 900 kinds of awful. And I lived in NY, so I had to deal with him on the radio, too. UGH.
Sean Mooney was OK. I remember him being very sportscasterly, which was back when wrestling was still sliding in under "sport." Of course, so was Vince.

The last time I saw him was about 12-13 years ago as an anchorman on WWOR New York back when that channel was a Superstation like WGN and TBS. Haven't seen him since

I liked Mooney, this just made me remember, wasn't he interviewed for the RAW homecoming a couple of years back? Nice to know he didn't really turn his back on the business, or was ashamed of it, It just helped him by not mentioning it apparantly.
I just found this on a site-take it with a grain of salt:
Trivia Sean is the god-son of famous bounty hunter Duane "Dog The Bounty Hunter" Chapman.
how old are these guys?

Speaking of his Sean Mooney, does anyone remember how awful his predecessors Craig DeGeorge and Ken Resnick were?
