Seriously, for some fun commentary, I think we need to induct this match into Wrestlecrap. Some of Wrestlecrap's favorites were in it.
The Gobbledy Gooker Kamala Kimchee The Goon Duke "The Dumpster" Droese Repo Man Doink The Clown Tugboat Earthquake Hillbilly Jim Brother Love Jim Cournette Sgt. Slaughter Iron Sheik Michael PS Hayes Bushwackers Nickolai Volkoff One Man Gang
This is definately something RD Reynolds would enjoy inducting.

But it is intentional Wrestlecrap. It is just not the same.

Maybe....but sometimes even intentional wrestlecrap must be inducted...
see the early years of TNA for an example

Nah. It was called the gimmick battle royal for a reason. It was mostly an joke and it was meant to be entertaining, which it was. So it's not really wrestlecrap worthy.

I'm completely convinced that Vince did this in response to just how popular this site had become.
I don't think that this should be inducted, because it WASN'T WrestleCrap . Yeah, it may have FEATURED WrestleCrap, but I think this was an awesome nostalgia trip for many viewers. It was worth it merely to see Bobby "The Brain" Heenan sit at the broadcast table one more time. Mean Gene was good, but I really, really wish Gorilla Monsoon was still alive, if only to hear him say "WILL YOU STOP!?!?" and threaten to have Heenan escorted out of here after Heenan makes an outrageous comment.
WrestleMania X-7 is definitely in the top three pantheon of greatest Manias (alongside III & XX) and for me, this battle royale was a highlight.

I did enjoy the match, but I would love to see RD Reynolds make some witty review for the match.

No. This match was not meant to be a 5 Star Classic. It was meant for some old guys to make final appearances and to entertain the fans with some old nostalgia.
It was nostalgic and entertaining. I see no reason to induct this.

I liked it. It was somthing diffrent and fun. It did everything that it was intended to do and it didn't hurt the product in any way shape or form. In fact, if anything, it helped because it's something(albeit a very small thing) that was unique enough to help make it seem like that years Wrestlemania was more than "just another PPV".

I just watched that last night. I love how Howard Finkel announces: "The Goon". So much passion....
People can argue that it's intentional wrestlecrap, but then again most of the WWE these days seems to be intentional wrestlecrap.
Tim White for the Gooker 2006!

This was my favorite moment from that WM. The Brain's comments were great... Like when Mean Gene said about the Repo Man..."Five years ago he got my mother in law's car" and Bobby's response was "Three years ago everybody got your mother in law" or something like that....

I've never actually seen it... Is it a decent battle royal or pathetic? I seem to always hear negative stuff about it...

I've never actually seen it... Is it a decent battle royal or pathetic? I seem to always hear negative stuff about it... The entertaining part of it is all the entrances. Take that as you will.

I've never actually seen it... Is it a decent battle royal or pathetic? I seem to always hear negative stuff about it... The battle royal itself was pathetic and Iron Sheik only went over because he could not take a bump. However, it was one of the greatest things in WWF history and I wanted it to become a yearly event. I loved the Gimmick Battle Royal before I ever discovered Wrestlecrap. With Vince always wanting to use the legends and having them all on those legends contracts, this is a great way to use them once a year. However, I always wondered why some guys who were announced as being in the battle royal were not in it?
